Cross Save is active, but Steam loads a separate Hunter instead of my Xbox characters
My Cross Save page says “SYSTEM ACTIVE.” My Xbox Hunter and Warlock appear under “From your Xbox account,” and my Steam account is linked. I verified my Steam game files, confirmed the Steam ID matches, and relaunched the game, but Steam still shows a separate Hunter and an empty second character slot.
My Xbox characters still appear normally on Xbox. The Silver restriction error is now gone.
Could you please verify that my Xbox characters are correctly selected as the active Cross Save characters and investigate why Steam isn’t loading them?
I do not want to deactivate Cross Save and trigger another 90-day cooldown unless absolutely necessary.

Hi there, Thanks for reaching out. Checking your account in our system, we can indeed confirm that your Steam account is not part of your existing Cross Save setup, which explains why you don't see your Xbox characters when logging in on Steam. This means that the fix should be simple as you just need to add your Steam account to your existing Cross Save setup. However, if your Steam account appears to already be linked on your end, then this means something has gone awry in the Cross Save process. In this case, the only fix is to disable Cross Save, wait out the mandatory cooldown for doing so plus any cooldowns for recent purchases, then set up Cross Save anew, this time making sure to select and configure all desired platform accounts at once. That said, while you wait out the cooldowns during the time Cross Save is disabled, your characters will still be available to you, but only on their original platforms. Also, please note these cooldowns cannot be expedited or removed under any circumstances, with no exceptions. Edited by viiTactiiCZz: 10/14/2026 7:38:06 PMIf cross-save was already enabled when you added the Steam account to your profile, you have likely ran into an older bug that prevents accounts from being properly included if they are linked to a Bungie profile after the initial cross-save setup has been completed. BNGHelp will likely check on their end to see if the Steam account has been included - if your Steam account isn't included on their end then you will have to go through the process of deactivating cross-save -> waiting 90 days -> reactivating cross-save so the Steam account is there from the initial activation. Do not alter your cross-save setup until Bungie provides further info on what you have to do in case there is a deeper cross-save issue than the above.
