Bring back sbmm
This is what you wanted right to make it so hard on top players to make them carry 4 bad teamates that we would scream bring back sbmm well you win im at a 30 percent win rate because of your new bs. I'll gladly take sbmm back you tools -blam!- all matchmaking and were praised then changed it back because the games was dying although it had nothing to do with pvp but you used that excuse to make another match making system

SBMM needs to return, I’m sick and tired of getting paired with Newbie Nick and Brainless Brian every time I go into Comp or Trials. I don’t care so much about the base Crucible, it’s the equivalent of Quick-Play so it shouldn’t even be taken seriously enough to add SBMM or CBMM anyway. Competitive modes need to pair Guardians against similar-scored Guardians, the lack of that is exactly why you cannot rely on stats to determine if a player is good or bad anymore. That and the toxicity I see in baseline Crucible… it’s insane how heavily people will embarrass themselves by thinking they’d big and tough because they can wiggle their fingers to move pixels around the map, then want to hit the “You’re Garbage” instead of just saying “GG” and moving on. I dunno what’s worse honestly, the shambles of PvP or the toxicity of the community. We live in a sad age of gaming. At least OG MWII days had people being creative and actually funny with the trash talking, people on here in 2026 will just be vile for absolutely no reason and it won’t even be funny, it’ll just be disgusting nonsense that everyone else says nowadays. You get my point.

1 ReplyIn this game, sbmm or no sbmm would not make a difference. Eventually enough people latch onto metas and mess up everything. The complaints should be, stop doing metas. As long as the toolsets are unbalanced, the games’ matchmaking will be unbalanced.

SBMM also not good because many friends suddenly dont want to play together anymore. There is no good middle ground apart from a bigger playerbase... unfortunately thats also crippling. Atleast that how it feels like, i dont know any better. We just have to row with what we got and accept that nothing will be perfect. But i do believe that right now it is okay. As long as we accept that we also get stomped every once in a while and visa versa Top 1% are loners anyway. More toxic ones than socially skilled so... meh

6 RepliesYou've got it all mixed up. Some top tier players want SBMM because CBMM is too EASY. Some top tier players DONT want SBMM bc it is too HARD. But fundamentally, almost accross the baord, top-tier players DONT CARE ABOUT 6V6 MATCHMAKING. They're gonna win no matter what lol.
