This is a collection of quality-of-life features that could make Destiny more convenient, more customizable, and more rewarding for long-term players while keeping the core gameplay experience intact.
Inventory & Gear
1. Search Bar for Shaders, Emotes, Ornaments, Finishers, and Cosmetics
Add a universal search bar that allows players to quickly find shaders, emotes, ornaments, finishers, and other cosmetics. Players should be able to search by name and potentially filter results by category, making large collections much easier to manage.
2. Unlimited Favorites System with Different Favorite Symbols
Allow players to favorite an unlimited number of items and assign different favorite symbols, such as stars, hearts, or other icons. This could be used to categorize weapons and armor for different builds, activities, personal favorites, or items that should never be dismantled.
3. One-Click Masterwork Upgrade
Add a one-click option to fully Masterwork an eligible weapon or armor piece when the player has all required materials. This would remove unnecessary repetitive interactions while keeping the existing Masterwork system intact.
4. Masterwork Stat Rerolling
Allow players to reroll selected Masterwork stats on weapons and armor. A reroll should only affect the chosen Masterwork stat rather than resetting the entire item. This would give players a way to improve nearly perfect gear without having to discard an item they have already invested time and resources into.
5. Auto-Dismantle Options for Lower-Rarity Gear
Add customizable auto-dismantle options for lower-rarity gear. Players could choose which rarities should automatically be dismantled, helping reduce inventory clutter and saving time after activities that generate large amounts of loot.
6. In-Game Armor Stat Optimizer
Add an armor stat optimizer directly into the game. Players could select their desired stat priorities, and the system would identify the best possible armor combinations from the gear they currently own. This would provide functionality that players currently rely on external tools to access.
7. Detailed Perk Tooltips
Expand perk descriptions to clearly explain exactly how each perk works. Tooltips should display important information such as damage bonuses, duration, cooldowns, activation requirements, stacking rules, maximum stacks, and other relevant values.
For example, if a perk provides 30% increased damage for 5 seconds, the game should clearly state those values instead of using vague descriptions. Players should be able to understand their weapons and builds without having to rely on external websites or testing.
8. Bigger Vault
Increase Vault capacity to better support long-term collections. As Destiny continues to add weapons, armor, rolls, and build combinations, players should not constantly have to delete potentially useful gear simply because they have run out of storage space.
9. No Resource Caps
Remove unnecessary storage caps for Glimmer and other frequently used resources, or significantly increase them where appropriate. Players who actively play the game should not be prevented from earning resources simply because they have reached an arbitrary limit.
10. Elimination Tracker on Exotic Armor
Add a lifetime elimination tracker directly to Exotic armor pieces. Similar to weapon kill trackers, this would give players a way to see how much they have used and invested in their favorite Exotic armor over time.
11. More Bright Dust Sources
Add more reliable ways to earn Bright Dust through normal gameplay. Players should be able to earn meaningful amounts of Bright Dust by participating in a wider variety of activities rather than relying primarily on limited weekly or seasonal sources.
Endgame & Activity Statistics
12. Optional Encounter Statistics
Add a toggle that allows players to open a detailed statistics screen after each Dungeon or Raid encounter.
The screen could display:
* Damage Dealt
* DPS
* Damage Taken
* Deaths
* Revives
* Orb Generation
* Accuracy
* Ability Usage
* Champion Kills
* Encounter Completion Time
Players who prefer a cleaner experience could simply disable the feature.
13. Detailed Dungeon & Raid End Screen
Improve the final Dungeon and Raid results screen by providing a complete overview of the entire activity.
Statistics could include total damage dealt, total damage taken, DPS, deaths, revives, Orb generation, ability usage, Champion kills, accuracy, completion time, individual encounter performance, and personal achievements or milestones.
This would give players a much better understanding of their overall performance and make completing challenging activities more rewarding.
Loadouts & Builds
14. More Loadout Slots
Increase the number of available Loadout slots so players can maintain more builds without constantly overwriting existing setups. This becomes increasingly important as more subclasses, weapons, armor combinations, and specialized builds are added.
15. Fully Customizable Loadouts - Name, Icon, Color, and Tags
Allow players to fully customize their Loadouts with a name, icon, color, and optional tags.
Players could create clearly identifiable Loadouts for activities such as Raids, Dungeons, Nightfalls, PvP, Champions, specific subclasses, or particular playstyles.
16. Seasonal Artifact Preset Saving
Allow players to save multiple Seasonal Artifact configurations as presets. Players could quickly switch between different Artifact setups depending on the activity or build instead of manually changing individual perks every time.
17. Improved Mod Management & Customization
Improve the armor mod system with better organization, searching, filtering, and customization options.
Players should be able to save complete mod configurations and have them automatically applied when switching Loadouts. The system should also make it easier to see which mods are currently equipped, which slots they occupy, and what changes will occur when switching between builds.
18. Loadout Sharing with Friends and Clan Members
Allow players to share Loadouts directly with friends and clan members.
A shared Loadout should display the required weapons, armor, mods, subclass configuration, Artifact setup, and other relevant components. Players could then inspect the build and save or recreate it if they own the required items.
UI & Communication
19. Better Buff and Debuff UI Visibility
Improve the visibility and organization of active buffs and debuffs.
Important effects should be easier to identify, with clear icons, timers, stacking information, and prioritization. Players should immediately be able to understand what is currently affecting their Guardian without having to search through a crowded list of effects.
20. Damage Number Customization
Give players more control over how damage numbers are displayed.
Options could include adjusting their size, position, visibility, grouping, and which types of damage numbers are shown. Players could choose a cleaner display or a more detailed combat-information setup.
21. Custom HUD Options
Allow players to customize which HUD elements are displayed and where they appear on screen.
Players could enable, disable, or reposition certain UI elements to create a HUD that better fits their preferred playstyle and screen layout.
22. UI Scaling Options
Add more granular UI scaling options across menus and gameplay. Players should be able to adjust individual UI elements or interface sections rather than being limited to a single global scaling option.
23. Ping and Marker Communication System
Introduce a dedicated ping and marker system that allows players to quickly communicate locations, enemies, objectives, loot, and points of interest without requiring voice chat.
Different ping types could provide additional context, such as enemy, attack, defend, loot, objective, or location markers. This would be especially useful for matchmaking and players who do not use voice communication.
Sandbox & Progression
24. Separate PvE and PvP Sandbox Tuning
Maintain separate sandbox tuning for PvE and PvP wherever possible.
hanges designed to balance competitive PvP should not unnecessarily weaken weapons, abilities, or builds in PvE activities. Separate tuning would allow both environments to be balanced more effectively without one mode constantly being affected by changes intended for the other.
25. Passive Guardian Progression Tree
Introduce a small passive progression tree for long-term players.
The tree could provide modest bonuses such as slightly increased damage, survivability, ability regeneration, or other useful effects. The bonuses should remain intentionally small so the system rewards dedicated players without creating a major power gap.

Truth nuke on everything except I would add something for vendors like Hawthorne. I have her prestige 60 I think because it’s easy but unfortunately I have 700 engrams and it takes 3 seconds to open one and then I gotta dismantle the loot which going to my inventory takes 5 seconds and deleting it. Doing this optimally would be like 5000 seconds. This would be about and hour and a half of dealing with menu stuff.

TL:Dr Never going to happen. There would need to be a source of income to pay for all that.

Nice ai mode search 😆

*Difficulty content for those that want it. *Regular content for all the average players - although we mostly left and will not come back. ( we do not like being forced into master, GM and Ultimate modes just to secure a piece of gear that is 99.9999% of the time gonna be useless anyway.) If you want a real wish list of fixes, start HERE: FUN! ENGAGING! If the average player is not having fun, and in not engaged with the game, we will not stick around, there are way to many games to be stuck in one that is not fun and engaging. If the game is designed around the top 20% skill wise of the player base, your average players will leave just like they did starting in that neptune expansion. Just facts, they, we left! Not because of the DCV, the game was not fun or engaging.

I also would like to use destination materials to upgrade items like in Destiny. Made them useful.

I don’t think anyone will read your wish list but I also think we all agree that those changes would be huge in terms of QoL
