Game is too cluttered

Too many notifications and banners popping up in the middle of gameplay it’s infuriatingly annoying, also what’s up with all the over complicated stuff in the UI and the weapon tiers and stuff??? It’s all meaningless, the stuff that isn’t top tier is just garbage so why even have anything below tier 5? I just got back after quitting from edge of fate and it’s all just annoying and overly complicated. Its no wonder there’s no new players it turned me off instantly, and then I get into crucible and there’s no aggression everyone just pokes with scouts/HC/pulses,it’s genuinely so boring and frustrating. Someone needs to streamline the ui because this is far too overwhelming. I genuinely don’t think I’ll buy any DLC still, destiny 2 is just a headache atp. Also when are shaders getting fix? There’s so many and no way to filter through them. I will say though I love the changes to the vault. I just genuinely think there’s too much going on and there’s too many things to keep track of,for example:why do we need like 5 different currencies to level up weapons? It’s ridiculous, specially when you have to grind like crazy for them. The fact that I have to grind so much and my gear becomes obsolete every other update makes me not want to buy anything from Bungie. Please simplify the game overall,I want to play not to have my gameplay interrupted and slowed down by a bunch of useless information,it isn’t fun.

  • After they unvault the old campaigns they should just start fresh with a new game as after 10 years of content it's become a mess due to many factors. I doubt they could untangle and fix it fully now.

I mean at this point you're talking about the natural route that games take on when they have been active for a decade. You're always going to run into how complicated the game is when it's been out for this long. There's not much Bungie or any studio can do about because it's legit the natural course of things. You're arguing against a concept that is just common sense and natural. Something I have noticed is that people are upset at the genre of a game or the natural common sense outcome of how a game operates. It doesn't make sense to even talk about it. Like how people complain about the entry point and how hard raids are when that's the point. A fraction of the player base does raids and people think that's a problem when it's not. That's normal. Aspirational content BY DESIGN OF BEING ASPIRATIONAL, will attract less people due to the fact that it's something you have to work towards.

There are no more updates so nothing will become obsolete going forward, but this was a basic game mechanic, without it you'd be in destiny 1 where people used fatebringer & gally for 3 years & nothing else mattered. You have to bring people back every season so need new guns, they need to be better than the previous guns & they can't simply keep making things better or the content ends up being too easy. You can't expect to jump into a 13 year old franchise & not get overwhelmed by years of quests etc, if you played it as it released there was actually very little to do & long periods of nothingness. Materials to level guns & power levelling, you call it too long of a grind, brother that's the replayability of the game, without that there's little reason to run content more than a few times, you call people soft but this here is soft. Crucible is full of veterans & people using Cronus, there's people who play 50 games a day every day for years & years, & everyone else can't compete so adapt & sit back. Again you can't expect to start playing & compete, & your first feedback is you don't like people using scouts, lame. You're not going to buy any dlcs? Was that a threat? Literally no one cares, everything is like £22, if you don't wanna buy it just move on coz there's nothing to do if you don't. I mean there's PvP but apparently you're too soft & can't adapt. No sbmm here to hold your hand.

      • Overly complicated, yes Cluttered, yes more difficult, yes Too grindy, yes poor story, yes Light level tied to content difficulty, yes Too much jumping and platforming in regular content, yes Poor armor/gear system, yes All reasons I have heard or read as to why players left. But the fan bois will tell you it is all too easy, just like they always have. They will down vote anyone who who disagrees with the direction Bungie has taken and them. The unvaulting of content would be nice if they fixed the garbage system they have in place. If they do not the unvaulting will not take them super far. I do not know a single person who left because of DCV. As communication stands, that is all Bungie has talked about like that is the major reason players left the game.

        • Yeah it’s become messy and complicated over the years. Imagine being a new player jumping in to all this.

          • I have been asking this a few times as well but no one seems to care. Atleast give us an option to enable and disable certain types of notifications. Better yet an option that minimalizes certain notifications. It increases immersion of a game... so why not right? All we can do is hope that one day... one day this modernisation will happen

            • I agree. The notifications take too much spacne and should not last so long. They could appear much smaller at up center of the screen or up right or something and you could read them from somekind of log if you want to and mark as read if you wanna check them later. I couldnt care less at all about notifications, i know what i get when i care about it.
