Delete a character?
In D1, I have three characters. If you delete a character who is hold equipment, do you lose that equipment? I don't have much room left in the vault. Would the equipment just go to the messenger (Kadie).

All your stuff will go away. I suggest keeping all your legendary and exotics plus any favorites in your vault. You could also go through your vault and clean it out if there isn’t any room.
