The leadership and staff that this new Bungie has replaced did a lot of damage to the communications to the community as a whole. They’ve banned so many people for just warning about the poor decisions being made & how it was going to lead us to this “new future” Bungie is looking at now. Sure, I know the internet has toxic individuals on it and some people that are banned from these channels have been justly punished. But many people have been banned just because the individual running the account doesn’t agree with the individual outside of the Destiny sphere. Just personal I know several people that are banned from these channels conversation from accounts like DMG, etc that have never even interacted with the account, but are banned. I know people that are banned from the conversation for just warning about the pitfalls the studio has recently fell into and put the studio into the position it’s currently in. I understand that people using their personal accounts have a right to control their personal accounts. This is the entire reason why we stopped having the CMs using their personal accounts and started Destiny2teams. In the heights of the studio’s rough times I’ve seen CMs on social media platforms telling people they’re not welcome in this community. At a time where you’re having a hard time retaining customers, it doesn’t seem wise to tell current customers to leave. There shouldn’t be personal agendas, politics, etc. Every guardian deserves a seat at the table and every guardian should feel welcome. Only having the voices around you that tell you you’re doing great and agreeing with you about everything is how Bungie got to this place. If you want to know what your paying customers really think and want - stop blocking those that have harsh words and tough conversations to have. Please consider opening communications to everyone. Please have the employees refrain from using the studio has their soapbox. Please have public facing staff & communications be welcoming to everyone.
