Destiny 3 not revival.
I was never onboard the Destiny 3 train before they announced that they would stop working on Destiny 2. Now after they did stop, i think that a Destiny 3 is better than for them to comeback and work on it.
Destiny 2 is a flawed game that can't really be fixed due to their spaghetti codes.
If what we saw is correct and that they will bring back the vaulted content, it will also bring a ton of issues. So many bugs, crashes and other issues.
Sure it would be nice to play the old campaigns, strikes and raids and visit the old planets.
But they were made for a gameplay style that no longer exists in the game and again they will bring so many issues.
If they really want to earn our trust back, a third game with all of our feedback that they have gotten over the years, would be a much better way than just bringing back a mediocre campaign.
A new game without the coding issues would just allow them to do more things easier and faster.
It is far too late for anyone to really care about these vaulted content anymore.

I think you're missing the point. Obviously a D3 would make more money & bring in more new players than unvaulting old content... But why would Bungie invest a massive amount of money rn to create an entirely new game when so many people have already said they will never buy D3 because they cant forgive Bungie for vaulting the stuff they previously paid for ? Instead, they can invest the absolute minimum to rework a bunch of content thats already sitting in a vault, present it as "doing the right thing" for free & they basically get to say "here's all the old stuff back, now please forgive us & go buy D3 when we announce it".

2 RepliesBungie said back in May it was time for Destiny to live beyond D2. Are they looking at an evolution of D2, or a new game built from scratch? I prefer the idea of D3 because D2 is bloated with so much stuff and I’m struggling to see how they evolve it without being weighed down by the past. Either way, I’m happy that some things are going to change. The vaulted content is clearly an investment in the future of the IP. It’s just the first step to whatever comes next.
