Don't let Bungie off the hook!
Very happy for everybody that's going to benefit from the latest news about Bungie and Destiny etc.
But please don't let Bungie off the hook. They don't deserve a free pass.
They've messed around with this community and taken their status and player base for granted ever since Destiny (1).
Made & broken promises, caught out lying, BS.
Look after yourselves, hold Bungie to a better standard because it looks to me like Bungie are in for a hell of an unearned payday.

I’m optimistic in the sense that I really don’t think they wanna close the doors. It’s like that episode of the office, where they watch movies on Monday to increase productivity. How you might ask? They work faster. They have to, to make up for the time they spent watching the movie.

Bungie the sentient being. Because the people in charge now made the decision to sunset content then pull the plug on Destiny. You are getting a free pass to play an updated version of Destiny 2 content 2017-2019 on next gen consoles/pc. Most game companies shamelessly make players pay twice to do that.

This is very true. We will see what happens. As of now it’s just the old content coming back which is great and if they leave it at that then it’s fine to me. These were fun and great pieces of content. If they do add more I don’t want a bunch of nerfs to things that currently feel very good. That game in terms of gameplay is good where it’s at.

They are sorry because their beloved marathon, as predicted, failed miserably. They are sorry they got embarrassed by project sunrise after lying to the community that sunset content could not be brought back. They are sorry fans of both games walked away. What can you expect from a cheater who has to go crawling back to their spurned partner because their new fling dropped them? Humility hopefully…a lot of Spite probably. If marathon had not catastrophically failed, they would not be the least bit sorry.

absolutely agree with you and another poster that reminds us that this is a corporation... lets just judge by the actual actions/product that we get... ...fine to be positive in that it seems its gonna be free and we like this world and love to see it supported ...... but geez is everybody forgetting all the crap these guys have pulled like the vaulting, sunset and unsunset, the millions of bugs we as players have had to test for them (you can write on your resume that you are a software tester if you are a D2 live service bug player)... and without addressing the lack of consistency or anything in PVP... I'm not holding my breathe that we got another video of "we are listening"... heck look at MTL... they kept what we wanted until they knew >> "holy moley we maybe should give the players what they have been straight up telling us before most of us let go"... thankfully they released it... but now we have to deal with this dumb vendor rank-up engram situation nah... F-these guys... if they over-deliver with explorer dungeons, updated/new holiday events... attention to PVP and changing up the dumb engram situation... then I will say holy F this is a new Bungie... but for now same old Bungo -

Destiny 3 will be a better use of their time and a better way to earn our trust back. No i am not one of those who jumped on the Destiny 3 train before the announcement. But now after they abandoned it, a third game would be much better than trying to save this broken mess.

But constantly bashing them for every decision they make, especially when they give us things we did in fact ask for, is a small part of the overall reason we are in this state to begin with. It’s disturbing how people will post this garbage after the lengths people went through to get Destiny back. You don’t like the game? Play something else, stop being so damn negative.

I'm going to be happy about good news man. No one is ever happy about anything anymore, they're always looking for reasons not to feel joy. We can all be trust but verify next week, let's run some dungeons and IB with the mass influx of returning/new players that have joined back this week.

I agree with you, but I'm still glad that we're getting everything back, and that they at least acknowledged that the content never should've been removed to begin with.
