Bright Dust limits are stupid
Seriously. The store changes daily. Yet we can only grind for a specific amount weekly. Yes I know this can't be changed. I'm just venting.

We can actually get more now than prior to the changes so I’m not sure what your problems is. The store refreshing daily means you have more chance get to g stuff you like than wait g for a weekly reset. And just coz something is in the store doesn’t mean you have to buy it!

The limit is dumb. They shouldn’t have set it so low. 5k should’ve been the limit. I’d actually play longer if the cap was adjusted. In a matter of a couple hrs you can hit the weekly cap for earning. It grinds my gears!

I could have sympathised with this argument before they shut the game down, but there should not be any need for FOMO anymore. Nothing will be added or taken away, so even if there is a limit on bright dust, there is no time limit now either. I myself have always tried to collect everything, but now the pressure is off, I'm actually enjoying the game a lot more.

2 RepliesI wouldn't mind the cap so much if it didn't feel like all the cosmetics are unevenly weighted. I'm trying to get the Ripper set and out of the 80k I had before MOT, I'm down to like 12k. I had to buy over half the helmets to get that piece, all the cloaks, and now almost all the chest pieces to get that one. Like wtf? There's no way this is just RNG alone, not if I have to almost if not completely buy out an entire stock now 3 times in a row to get the one thing I want. And after this comes sparrows for the Taken and Dread ones.

There shouldn't be any limit on orders for bright dust. Every 10 after you hit the limit is pretty stingy. But Bungie gonna Bungie.

1 ReplyI'm confused why anyone is trying to debate with you on this though when you clearly started you understand it can't be changed. Also I'm of the opinion that if you dedicate more time to the game than the average person then you should be able to farm more bright dust than what you normally would be able to weekly because all this does is have people drop the game when they've capped until the reset the following week and it's not fun because you want to get more rewards but you know they're time gated and can't do anything but wait.

You should be able to grind at least 1,500 bright dust every day at a minimum. I’ve been stingy with spending mine and I’m still basically broke on it.
