What is Bungie going to do about all the cheaters in Crucible now that the majority of the Destiny 2 staff is gone? Top of the leaderboard are brand new accounts, weapons that shouldn’t, but are mowing players down, all stats are below 90, health at 190, 200 and weapon at 20, 10, 0, players running away even though you have 3 mobility mods on and they have nothing. Makes no sense!

9 RepliesThere is a lot of cheating on PC right now, but I can’t take you seriously if you think 200 health stat and 0 weapons is a sign of cheating. That tells me you don’t know much about PvP and the stats that matter for PvP.

WHO cares its pvp. This is Pve game stop complaining

Don't you love how they can stand still slide away or run away super fast without any type of speedy boots or take ridiculous damage or how your reticle has no friction on them? I could go on and on and nothing will ever be done. Occasionally you'll get some good games but lately it's more bad than good.

Getting mowed down by a Monte Carlo shooting a >900 rpm is not fun. Felt like I was two tapped. Probably still got better drops at the end though for the loss lol...

Edited by Zodleon: 8/25/2026 1:17:25 AMMobility effects strafe speed, not sprint speed. And most ppl who have dedicated pvp armor sets run high health low weapons. Weapons stat only matters if you're doing specific ttk changes.

Pretty sure those are just decent players. I hate PvP and for years just ran around with a jotuun pissing people off to get my weapons. But I run it now and honestly don't see too many actual cheaters. If you're struggling just be more aggressive. Use a melee build and really get in these players faces. A lot of these vets get intimidated easy and prey on lesser players if you get in their face too much. Pvp in destiny always breeded lazy players who plateau in skill. Once you take it to them a few times they back off and chase easier players. Also don't forget - the most powerful weapon in PvP is team shooting so stay together.

2 RepliesBrand new accounts could be cheaters or vets playing on a smurf. I personally know a ton of ppl who use smurfs when they are "messing around" to prevent hurting their precious stats (it is lame). "Weapons that shouldn't but are mowing players down"... Which weapons? There are no "bad" weapons in D2 rn, and pretty much anything can melt you if they land headshots. "All stats below 90, health at 180, 200 and weapon at 20, 10, 0"... Lol, you mean a good PVP stat distribution? Most players run at least 160 health (ideally, 170+) in PVP, and most other stats have diminishing returns after 70 (with the exception of Super - a lot of players run high Super, close to 100). A lot of players use Weapon as a "dump" stat. If by "mobility mods" you mean the enhanced athletic mods, then you don't understand how they work. They only affrct initial jump height and strafe speed. They do not affect sprint speed.

A lot of sus things are happening now plus lots of pvp sweats returning to the game for one last hurrah. Casual modes can be brutal with the odd close game thrown in, tbh I'm not enjoying it anymore it's not good for your mental health. 😥

9 RepliesMobility mods don't increase sprint speed. Lightweight weapons, some exotics and the comp armor set do. The mods only increase the non ability jump and walk speed/ acceleration (strafe mostly). I have seen a lot of newer accounts with good players, assume they are smurf accounts to get around SBMM and give them highlight reel games because in their normal games they basically only gave cheaters or other top players. Yes, there are cheaters, but also a lot of extremely good players running smurfs.

Nothing cause pvp is done and dusted to them . It’s a free for all now . Small doses works for me now

You answered your own question in the first sentence.
