Here is my longstanding roaming build for the rare occasions I queue Hunter. [b][u]Gameplay Loop[/u][/b] The primary appeal to queueing Hunter for myself boils down to Shatter Skating and Invis. If I'm not Skating, I'm on Void. So let's just clear the air with that first. This build objectively has 2 goals- CC all enemies and provide near infinite uptime with Frost Armor to both yourself and your allies. The use of Alethonym provides secondary utility in the form of Ammo Generation and Weakening, in addition to some goofy fun bunny hopping. Shatter Dive effectively does two things as well- #1. It enables Shatter Skating. #2. It quickly clears the field of all Stasis Crystals. In a sandbox where HOTS Titans abound, the ability to play around their infinite walls of crystals lends to much more enjoyable gameplay while they are clusterducking the environment (another sleeper being Kephri's Horn on Titan to pair with them!). The Artifact simply enables endless Frost Armor through Wind Chill and Frost Renewal, while Duskfield is the primary focus in terms of ability spam and further enablement. Whisper of Shards lends to near infinite uptime of your Grenade, especially with the Kickstart present and intrinsically low cooldown. Silence and Squall becomes and Orb factory via Power Preservation, and the Artifact's Brain Freeze perk truly lets it freeze hordes of ads. The primary source of healing comes in the form of Curative Orbs. There is no shortage of Orbs and Stasis Shards on the field to interact with for healing. Additionally, Total Carnage offers more healing in addition to more stacking DR. The background piece regarding healing comes from the Seventh Seraph Armor Set. Touch of Winter allows your Duskfield to spawn a Crystal at the center, which becomes a quick form of healing and Frost Armor. Again, this uptime is hyper enabled by both Whisper of Shards and Whisper of Torment, in addition to your Grenade Kickstart. Orbs on the field will feed back more energy via the Orbs of Restoration+Absolution Combo. Bomber in the Class Item will allow one to quickly top the ability off. Your Dodge is fed via Whisper of Refraction and Bolstering Detonation, which provides a self sustaining gameplay loop with your Duskfield Grenade. Throw Duskfield down for CC. Damage proccs Bolstering, thereby feeding your class. Frozen Targets defeated in it proccs Whisper of Refraction, feeding your Class. Shattering the Crystal feeds your Grenade proccing Whisper of Shards. Dodging proccs Bomber feeding your Grenade. Dodging sets up Reaper for an Orb, which then will feed back all abilities via Absolution (and a larger chunk toward one via Orbs of Resto). The Orb will then procc the Grenade Kickstart. A perfect self feeding cycle! This build offers endless fun for Distortion activities and casual Strikes. Distortions are particularly fun given the open environments for Shatter Skating. IF a HOTS Titan is present, this build offers tremendous synergy and support for their gameplay loop in harder content. Let me know what you think in the comments!
