Leaving PvP in this state is perhaps the most inept thing they ever did. The matchmaking is literally broken. Their insistence on 5m penalties while also shoving you into auto-losses that are prolonged by their rigged engagement system is bonkers beyond belief.
Why are you penalizing us for leaving games you put us into that are wildly imbalanced and absurd? Nobody knows. Because Bungie feels this is a way to somehow punish quitters. Notice they can't actually make a good game, nor can they make competent decisions, so their completely awful matchmaking is to be obeyed at all costs. PvP always had these problems. The fact they bet all their money on a PvP Marathon game after having absolutely no expertise at all outside of weapon feel and core art and movement is another of their absurd decisions they now pay for with every successive studio trimming.
Just like we were all supposed to obey and play this game even though they were slaving us into the toilet of a broken prison post-Shape and even before that. Nope, we all quit, and now we should be able to see the reasons why we all quit. Because the studio was part trash part great and they could never quite meld them into something that worked efficiently and effortlessly. Always issues from one side or another.
I guess this is what we are left with. Penalty over.

1 ReplyThey were a great studio that got lazy and arrogant. Killed by their own hubris.

If it's such an issue then stop playing pvp. Cheaters have been running a muck since the dawn of gaming. Cant blame a studio for players who chose to buy cheats and utilize them in every game they play. Blame the companies who sell cheats and profit from it. Cheating and modding are in every game that is online and no one stops it, cheaters always win because they cheat. Declaring a company to fade away because players buy these cheats to abuse it in online gaming is not Bungies fault or any other company that deals with it for that matter. Not only is there cheating software but also hardware that's programmable to utilize and exploit in game functionality to favor them in a pvp scenarios. You cant blame a company for that, you're better off blaming those who manufactured the cheating software and or hardware an profit from it.
Nope, we all quit, and now we should be able to see the reasons why we all quit.
1. No, we “all” didn’t quit. 2. Hell, YOU didn’t even quit even after making this incoherent rant.

When Destiny 2 being effectively dead along with Destiny as a franchise being basically shelved. My connection to Bungie is severed and i couldn’t care less if Bungie sinks or swims.

Edited by Kyrin7: 8/8/2026 5:37:56 PMWeird. I don't have any problems in PvP. Some games are good and some are bad. They're definitely more interesting and diverse since Moment of Triumph came out. One of the only problems I see are the ragequitters. They always whine and act self righteous in pretending to deserve better despite not being in matches long enough to learn to play better. That never stops being pathetic. For anyone like that, here's a secret: You don't get better by fighting in an easy match, you get better by fighting in a tough match. Especially unfair matches. I definitely have a lot more fun when people actually fight back. I have very fond memories from times I've been left in a match with two teammates while fighting 6 opponents. Or when I'm in Comp while short a teammate. When other players are too easy, I end up getting bored and going back to PvE.

MM team balance sucks for sure. Also, repeat quilters should just end up in a MM pool with each other.
