Matchmaking is broken
The game gets stuck trying to find matches. It "loads" in a game then you get back into orbit. Also I am mostly paired with Asian players IDK why. Also, after the infamous game breaking update back in July my NAT changed to moderate by itself.
I have tried opening ports, forwarding ports, UPnP, verifying Windows firewall and the NAT type will not change.

1 ReplyEven with UPnP enabled you still need to forward the port ranges needed for D2 (there's a list somewhere). For some reason UPnP does not reliably open the necessary ports.

Experiencing the same issue right now. Came on here incase it was a wider issue, and seems like I’m not the only one experiencing it.

Happens more often than not. Last night I was trying to search for a control matches, it would load 12/12, screen would go black as to loading into a match and then we’d be back in orbit 11/12, did this around 3 times before I changed characters, matchmaked and it fixed itself.

1 ReplyIf you have a VPN, turn it off. Closed NAT type doesn't exist. It is just a fancy way of saying that your game console/ computer is having trouble connecting to the interwebs. Resolution: hard wire your device. Source: I have the misfortune of working for an internet provider.
