My son finally got old enough to start playing with me. He loves it. We are having a blast. It makes me happy sad.

I know the feeling. My oldest son started playing D1 when it first came out. Sadly with the death of Destiny he's moved on to other games.

Thats a such a cool thing. Happy for you and him! Hope you guys have a blast. Still remember the joy (and a little frustration) of taking my 10 year through Crota's End in D1.

4 RepliesIt’s insane to think about how many of us have been here since the beginning, and those 12 years went by already. I was 13 when I made my first Guardian, I played the Beta for Destiny 1, so thinking about how someone can be born and grow old enough to play this game all within that timespan… I really don’t have words for how that one feels. I never expected a mortality check on this forum of all places… And all that time just for an unfinished story, and hopes that another company will one day dust off this old book and let us see how the story ends. … I think I need a drink now.

Nice! Have fun and enjoy Destiny as long as you can. -
1 ReplyMy son was born one month after Destiny 1 came out. My raid teams got used to me taking a 10 minute "diaper change break." I only ever let him play in the Tower, running around, playing Floor is Lava, throwing snowballs at people. Now as the game ends, he's approaching his 12th birthday. It's safe to say it has somewhat affected me. I hope the franchise can continue one day, and then he'll be old enough to be in my fireteam.
