I really hate how this game goes above and beyond to cheat. Like when you stun a Champion and it suddenly becomes a bullet sponge that sits at a sliver of health for an eternity, almost guaranteeing it or its accompanying adds will kill you. Or how a Barrier Champion has literally no cool down on its ability to keep popping instant barriers over and over again (which also gives it almost instantaneous health regen). Or how a stunned Champion can still shoot back or zip around the map while supposedly “stunned”. Or how enemies can take cover behind walls, boxes etc… but we can’t!!!
That last one really pisses me off because it means EVERY single player must adapt the same play style!! You can’t play the game how you like or more accommodating to your personality. EVERYONE must run around the arena like a mad person hoping not to get cornered or hit by a random projectile. That’s not skill, that’s just hoping to get lucky and I (BLAMMING) HATE IT!!! Some people would rather play slow and methodical, but this game doesn’t allow for that. Everyone must play the same. You have to be near perfect in all your shots, nades, ability timing etc… as though we are all meant to be professional gamers with God Tier skills. That very notion is just plain stupid IMO. Anyone should be able to get through even the most difficult content if they take their time and play safely and methodically. THAT is how a game should be, because “fun” shouldn’t have to be one flavor.

Barrier champ use trendsetter with jolting feedback to break barrier then switch to Dragons Breath, then switch to a kinetic tremors Pluperfect. It will for whatever reason have a hard time putting it's barrier back up but if it does just switch back to your trendsetter with jolting feedback. It's origin trait eats barriers/shields like nothing and the jolting effect once Dragons Breaths ignitions start just destroys. If you're running arc the jolting will work even better. If running solar I recommend a Ringing Nail with incandescent/burning ambition during the ignition phase of D.B. as it will proc a lot more ignitions and it's an anti barrier auto. I'm currently running stasis on warlock using a firefly/c.bloom time worn spire for overload with Polaris lance for barrier and a Cosmic Gaze GL with Withering/Destabilizing rounds. My armor is 2 7th Seraph for warminds, and 2 Exodus to get those orbs when my spells breaks. I'm constantly getting frost armor and healing from orbs and constant warminds from all the aoe. Currently taking both sets to get weapon, grenade, and class stats only.

1 ReplyI can offer an answer to the play style question. Bungie pushed players to the fast-paced, hard hitting style through (1) only rewarding players via chest rewards or drops at the end of an activity; and (2) putting time limits on everything. You kinda just have to go with the flow or find like-minded guardians to play with.
