Stop Joining Mic Required runs and not wearing a MIC
If this does not apply to you completely disregard, but for the people I'm talking to do not ever pick up a controller. I get it sometimes you don't feel like talking to people while gaming, completely reasonable and understandable. But if I make a post and it says mic required don't act like I'm the crazy one in this situation. Sure you can complete stuff with text chats and emoting, but.....I DON"T WANNA DO THAT, Iput mic required for a reason, if you think that's dumb then don't join. Even worse are the people who put on a mic but decide to still talk via text chat, cause I cAn HEar YoU WiTh ThE MiC. BROTHER, THE MIC IS ON YOUR HEAD SPEAK THROUGHT IT!!!. I don't know what kinda social anxiety you have but keep it far away from me. Unless you planning to communicate through your mic, you are getting the boot from any of my fireteams. Again if this don't apply to you forget I said anything, but to the people this applies to, pls DO NOT JOIN ANY OF MY FIRETEAMS.

1 Replymeh stop cryover this random stuff l have friends who plug in their headsets who can hear your calls but cant talk back because their mic doesnt work. If you require a mic for dungeons or GM's then you have skill issues lol god you even dont need it for some raids

I don't understand how anyone could defend doing this... Just join a different group that doesn't require mics lol. People that do this deserve to be kicked right before boss.

2 RepliesI'm one of those weird introverts that doesn't like talking on mic, so I never got into raiding. I wear my mic rarely, whenever my cousin or my son happen to get on and play, but that's about it. I was surprised last night, though. I was playing IB and decided to enter team chat with my mic muted, and nobody was talking. I thought maybe there'd be a few making call outs and I just wanted to listen for them, but there was nobody. I used to do that back in D1, and there was always at least a few. I actually quit doing it a long time ago, because there was always someone munching on chips, or blasting some crappy music in the background, but not anymore. It was just silence.

I've never felt comfortable on a mic, and because of this, I don't raid... It's not hard to respect the wishes of your raid team... I totally understand the need for a mic...

Excellent rant. Saves me the bother. I will join a no mic posting, because some people forget that it’s the default setting. If no one is talking I leave. If I make the post it always says mic required, and you better have one and be willing to talk. Either that or you’ll be 🥾‘ed.

Yes. Just because Raid loot got updated, doesn't mean the Raids themselves got updated to accommodate people without mics.
