Hello,
I'm a Destiny 2 player from Brazil and I'm experiencing a persistent high latency issue, especially in Crucible.
A few weeks ago, after a recent game update, my latency increased significantly. Since then, I've been experiencing:
Approximately 180–200 ms latency during matches.
Delayed hit registration.
Inconsistent player movement.
General feeling of delay and lack of smoothness during PvP.
Before contacting Bungie, I spent several days investigating the issue to rule out problems on my side.
Here's what I found:
My PC is running Destiny 2 without performance issues.
Stable FPS and normal temperatures.
Open NAT.
No packet loss during network tests.
My internet connection is working correctly (200 Mbps+).
Speed tests show very low latency (around 6 ms).
Traceroute to other services (such as Google) shows normal routing and low latency.
The problem occurs at all times of the day.
I also contacted my ISP, but they were unable to identify any network problem on their side.
Another important detail is that I compared my experience with friends who also play Destiny 2 in Brazil. They are located in different regions and are experiencing significantly lower latency than I am.
Because of this, I would like to know:
Are there any known networking issues affecting players in Brazil or South America?
Have there been any recent infrastructure or routing changes that could affect certain regions or ISPs?
Is there any additional test you recommend to help identify the cause?
Thank you for your time and any assistance you can provide.
