A secretion that coats objects... sharp rocks, squid talons and beaks that are rubbing or stuck in the stomach or intestinal track of the whale. Essentially, irritation or injury produces a goop to surround the object to prevent further injury and allows it to be passed. That goop... is highly sought after to hustle rich men & women for vanities sake. Physeter macrocephalus is the type of whale.
