I could confirm a similar post-update UI issue where opening character or other menus during in-game cinematics was no longer behaving normally, so menu-related state changes while transitioning into activities or destinations do appear to have been affected in this update window. I could not confirm this exact “open menu while flying in and sometimes crash to desktop” case as a clearly tracked known issue from what I found, but it does not sound like intended behavior. If you can, please include: which menu you are opening when it happens most often whether it is only while flying into social spaces like the Tower or also activity launches whether it freezes first or immediately closes the game your platform and whether this started right after the June 9 update Thanks for calling it out.
