About Xur, Asking for my wife

One of the Nine has gone rogue. Xur is an agent of the Nine. How come Xur doesn't have a behavior contact or steps in place should he succumb to a roguish Nine's intentions? What steps do we have in place to stop the guy who's everywhere & nowhere?

  • "Agent" is doing some heavy lifting when it comes to Xur. It's pretty clear the Nine only trust him to do the most mundane tasks. The rest of the Nine would probably not even notice if the rogue member took Xur as their butler, because they likely have countless servants far more competent.

  • One more here, the last question, this...well, is the question and answer we have been exploring as we explored consciousness and immortality. We grasped ourselves, we understood physics, we understood the universe...we could write singularities into the cosmos. We have made a statement, we are beyond control unless we give our will to another...not just willpower, the will. And lives are defined by that sense of self and our ability to come up with our own path based on experiences. So while they can pull and place things, even take the will of others, we have defined ourselves separate and part of the cosmos. We are stardust and star stuff, we are the weapon that form light and shadow, laws created through definition and memory of past inferring the future, and the future remembering the past. We will get to that story, someday, but there are other games that need to be viewed first, where could people spend lifetimes in, experience, and test their understanding of the universe...while having fun

Did you see that new lore piece with him? Need someone with an imagination and really descriptive to help me understand. Was that his beginning or his end? Edit: lol, guess I skipped the first line 😂 Endling - Ishtar Collective Guess its always been controlling him.

  • None. Currently there are no preventative measures for use against xur’s ability to travel, no one knows how he moves around like that. Though given what EoF added, a possible explanation is they push him forward in time to a specific location to bypass detection and security. Maybe some sort of paracausal energy field using your typical sci-fi doodad to prevent temporal displacement or something.

  • The Awoken crippled him. Xur is ****ed up. My will is not my own. A crippled slave. The reason why he slumps like that? Orin shattered his spine.
