Cross-platform data
I have a primary Xbox account and I'd like to transfer my characters to Steam, but I discovered that my account is linked to an old Sony PlayStation 3 profile.
However, I no longer have access to that PlayStation 3 account because it's an @ig email address. How do I unlink the account? Is it possible to transfer the characters without authenticating all the linked accounts?

2 RepliesHey there, unfortunately neither is possible. Bungie does not offer any kind of transfer - characters, progress, inventory, etc, are permanently tied to the account on which they were created. Cross-save is the only option, as a share, but all accounts must be authenticated, as of March 2025 it is no longer possible to unlink the account. So you'd either need to work with Sony support to recover the account (losing the email address shouldn't necessarily be a barrier) or maybe play the XBox account directly on PC using the XBox for Microsoft Windows PC version.
