PC - Performance
Since the update the game is running terribly for me.
I do run a lower end PC (good old girl), but it's always managed 60fps at 1080p.
I'm now getting 30fps..
Crucible is actually unplayable so I can t even enjoy iron banner (i use the word 'enjoy' very loosely).

Ryzen 7 9850X3D, RTX 4070Ti, 32GB RAM, installed on 860 Evo SSD. I'm having micro stutters every 30 seconds or so. It's not unplayable but definitely noticeable because I'm averaging over 100fps.

1 ReplyOk so it sounds like no, i'm not just crazy, i knew something felt off earlier, couldn't quite place why i suddenly was struggling to hold 120 like normal, made iron banner feel reaaaal interesting.

Update: The whole game is now totally unplayable. Warden of nothing, both sound and vision stuttered with fps dropping to 7fps. I've turned off both steam and discord overlays and am now attempting to verify files.

I'm running a great PC (14700k/5080/32gb DDR5) and in the pass few weeks these updates really messed up my performance.....what's the bungie?

I noticed frame drops too but still have a very smooth experience. Can't say what FPS I had in Iron Banner cause too busy looking at the radar 😂 But still smooth.

This is a huge problem at the moment for many PC players. 6v6 PvP is unplayable for many including myself. Even tho my FPS is 60+ it feels like 20 FPS and is awful to play. I have tried every trick I have found around the net like disabling different Steam options, giving D2 high priority, disablin fullscreen optimization, deleted drivers and re-installed, cleared shader cache and all kind of stuff like playing with vsync, fps lock etc. Funny is that it works for some. If you watch some streamers from youtube, they have insanely smooth gameplay. I really wanna believe that this gets fixed soon. -
2 RepliesCheck the optional forum options.. About performance etc.. They have a post asking for info on the topic. They are aware now and I believe this is connected to the delaying of the next patch. I am not only suffering performance issues… Also a game crashing bug that leads to the pc pop up “unable to read game file” and completely freezes the game. 1 instance of having to delete the game and download it again.

7 RepliesHonestly…..the game started playing like crap when they gave us crossplay. It just got worse cause they cater to consoles and controller players so I’m sure on the final update they just hit send and didn’t optimize anything.
