Bungie has only ever enabled and contributed to the cheating problem. Their downfall can be partly attributed to the fact that they can’t and won’t address cheating in this game or that “other” PvP game that’s a joke too

Yep. There is a guy who has 22 hours in the game with 100% accuracy just on crucible report spending 247 in comp and trials. On the side he is carrying people through pantheon so they can wear the emblem and pretend they did it legit. How is there no system that flags 100% accuracy across 22 hours lol

Unfortunately cheating is likely to only get worse as time goes on. It's the same pattern in pretty much every shooter I've played once the developers move on or stop actively working on it... it's only a matter of time before it is completely overrun by hackers. I got what I wanted out of competitive right away for that reason. I'm already running into obvious hackers more often (as in fully automatic infinite ammo snipers, being able to kill you from across the map through every single building and wall in the way, etc). I really hope I'm wrong, but I give it like maybe a month at best before Comp becomes borderline unplayable from all the hacking (on PC that is).

No need to ban just have cheat lobbies... And put them in with the bots... Shadow tag the account for a month to track the cheating remove tag after checking for false positives, inactivity or lack of cheating after two weeks repeat as necessary very automatable

I play on PC and I dont see cheaters really often. It might be that there are more cheaters than I notice, but if we are speaking someone using some aimbots, these are hard for me to notice, because all the lag and other problems game has. Yes, sometimes there is games where some players take you down almost before you can even see them and TTK is insanely low, like I cant even say "cat" before im down. These are suspicious, but then again there are really good players. Few times I have seen a clear hack and it has been something like flying in the air or sniping our whole team instantly when the game begins so these are clear cheats. I have reported them and always gotten then Banhammer screen, so these has been cheaters and Bungie banned them. When I report some sus good aim player, never seen banhammer banner so they were just way better than me, had connection in favor etc. Been playing destiny for so long that i have used to this and dont care. I just move onto the next game.

lol uh what?! You must be an addict ? 20-30 games a sitting ? PvP is what it is now . The forever meta will go on forever . No one is watching PvP now so cheating will get absurd . I jump in and do my 3 -5 games and log out. Depends how it is ….usually mercy after mercy with all the usual people .
