2. Share your DxDiag? To find this information:
• Press (Windows Key + R) to bring up the Run dialog box, enter this command: “dxdiag” (without quotation marks).
• Click on “Save all information”.
• Copy the text and use a text dump website (i.e., PasteBin.com) to paste the information. Please don't use Google Drive.
• Create a link and post it here.
3. Explain what type of content you're playing, and what playlist, mode, and map/op you experienced this occurring in? (ex. Crucible Control on Javelin-4, Vanguard Fireteam Op Glassway on Master, etc.)
4. If you experience this worse when doing specific things or playing specific modes/maps? If so, please share how, and if you did anything that fixed it.
5. Any Reproduction Steps you know that can cause this issue to appear every time? Is it a change to your settings? Certain armor, mods, or weapons? Etc. (Please note that we're not looking for "just play PvP" type of information; not that it's unhelpful, but precise steps would really help here)
6. Any information or steps you performed that resolved this issue for you.
Many thanks!

1. Don't have a way to record that wouldn't just add noise to the problem 2. https://pastebin.com/8yLcNck0 3. Crucible primarily, it's been egregious. Didn't have this issue before, and of course it had to come up during iron banner week. I've had frame drops during Pantheon and Arena Ops but some of that is just making concessions for my hardware. The micro stutters are not part of the acceptable performance drops. 4. Happens on every crucible map but also in everything else, crucible just seems to be the worst of it. 5. Playing the game. 6. Unresolved.

Edited by sfl042026: 7/3/2026 6:18:03 PMSystem- Ryzen 7 7800x3d, pbo curve -20, EVGA rtx3090ti ftw3, (clock 100, Mem-800), MSI MAG B650 tomahawk, Corsair ddr5 6400 m/t @ 6400, 1K watt EVGA PS, 2tb predator nvme, 2tb Crucial sata and INNOCN 500hz 27" QOLED 1440 monitor. Memory timing is tight and stable. All benchmark tests scored above average and no whea. Reliability report indicates zero issues. Before the recent weekly reset my PC would comfortably run D2 at 210fps with gpu/cpu temps in the low 50's C. I could run D2 at 240fps with minimal drops of 5 fps at times in the tower or transitioning to a menu. Render Resolution 100. Graphics- V-sync off, other settings to highest except for DOF- off and shadow low. After the reset I have tried raising render resolution to 130 and lowering to 90. Adjusted 1440 to 1080, lowered graphic settings to low, deleted cvars file, checked game and windows file integrity, bios current, all drivers updated, etc. Benchmarking tests indicate no issues. Frame rate drops are horrible whether framerate cap is set at 140 or 240 fps. Destinations experiencing corruption seem to be worse but the issue persists everywhere. I haven't played pvp because of the issue so I can't comment on whether it's effecting those lobbies. When the frame rate drops occur it almost seems as though the connection is getting ready to drop out but never does. I have disabled ipv6 and re-enabled, increased buffer to 2048 and down to 128, connection is 1g fiber and speed tests indicate 940mbps up and down. M& K are both connected to usb 2.0 tried 3.0, lowered polling rate from 1k to 250. I'm using two monitors haven't tried disconnecting one to test will try that next. When frame rate drops get really bad character self damage seems worse but npc take less. Mouse and keyboard input feels spongy and laggy. Also tried Nvidia control panel low latency and ultra-low latency. Seemed to be worse. Will work on videos and diagnostic files. Can include hwinfo64 if that helps. The first week of Monuments had no issues other than server load. An implemented change has drastically affected the quality of game play to the point I can't play pvp or want to attempt raids. We appreciate acknowledging the issue really hope this can be resolved soon. July 2nd while on the Cosmodrome participating in the corrupted PE I noticed something I have never before witnessed. The fallen PE with the glimmer scavengers that need to be destroyed to elevate to heroic was bugged in a way I haven't seen before. Normally the ship fly over and the npc drop in. We clear the first batch and the glimmer scavenger appears and needs to be destroyed. Then the second ship flies over and the captain and crew jump down and when they are eliminated we move to another zone. When the second ship flew over another identical ship came in right next to the first one. Fallen appeared below it and then when they dropped disappeared. Frame rates dropped severely each of the 3 times it happened. At the second zone after clearing the npc the ship stayed in place and wouldn't fly away. It was as if the event had stalled out. This also happened on Nessus. Multiple identical ships bumping into each other is not normal. During the corruption PE, I noticed players standing next to the corruption that needed to be shot to progress and not seeing it, they and the npc were also moving erratically. To me it seems as though the servers are having issues with the instances of the events occurring at the same time. I captured some clips will review and see if I was able to provide visual evidence.

1. idk how to record for youtube so sorry 2. https://pastebin.com/9cxMu9GC 3. playing all sorts of content. anything involving players either causes large fps dips or microstuttering. microstuttering example would be Iron Banner Control on Dissonance. most recent choppy frame activity was Astral Alignment Master 4. any activity exceeding 3 players (raiding, crucible, arena ops) seem to be doing the most in terms of being choppy from frames being weird. this honestly became more noticeable after Iron Banner dropped 5. i am not sure i noticed any of the above affecting my gameplay. it strictly seems to be tied to how many people are in an activity or not 6. nothing i do seems to help. i see a lot of people complaining about their frame issues on steam. i am a steam player too

Edited by Cutchall: 7/2/2026 2:01:37 AM1. JohannDaart's comment showing videos of Steam vs Epic performance is a good example of issues seen when playing through Steam. In my case, FPS will be between 180 and 224 but there are consistent drops to around 120 every five or ten seconds regardless of the activity and the game always looks choppy when looking around. 2. Share your DxDiag: https://pastebin.com/gDRNtK8b 3. I see this in every part of the game. Even in Orbit just moving the mouse around you can see the stuttering. This happens while walking around the Tower, the character screen and all activities. 4. The stuttering gets worse anytime you move the mouse, looking around is much more choppy than standing still or walking in a straight line. More enemies and action makes the stuttering worse. For example, playing Iron Banner more guardians on the screen causes the stuttering to get worse. A grenade explosion and a super explosion on the screen at the same time made things even worse. 5. This issue remains regardless of activity or settings but one repeatable issue is a 20 to 30 FPS drop when ADS. Today in Iron Banner, anytime I ADS there's a stutter and I can watch the FPS immediately drop from 170 to 140. 6. I have not resolved the issue. I've tried a long list of game settings, Windows settings, Steam settings, Nvidia settings etc. and the issue does not change much at all. Constant stuttering. Happens in every mode and even in orbit. Stuttering occurs whether Steam Overlay is enabled or disabled. I have provided screenshots from X and a dxdiag posted to pastebin. https://pastebin.com/Vg1fNJaV https://x.com/RelikOnX/status/2072578795471610102?s=20 Specs: CPU Ryzen 7 5700X3D, GPU RTX 5070, RAM 32GB DDR4 3200 MHz, SSD WD Black SN850X

Guys,I've tried the Epic store version and the problem isn't there,so it's a Steam-only issue.

ive noticed micro-stuttering on any map, but it becomes full on lag and freezing in PvP, pretty much any PvP map. Operating System: Windows 11 Pro 64-bit System Model: N7 B550 Processor: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 6-Core Processor Memory: 32768MB RAM DirectX Version: DirectX 12 Card name: AMD Radeon RX 6650 XT Manufacturer: Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. Display Memory: 24493 MB I have Destiny 2 on a WD_BLACK SN850X NVMe M.2 already tired driver updates and system updates, MBAR is on and the drive is direct access and set for that in settings. I noticed the lag after an game update last month but I can't point out the exact one.

Hi Bungie, Posting this to help with the stuttering investigation. System Specs: • CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D • GPU: NVIDIA RTX 5070 Ti • RAM: 32GB Corsair Vengeance DDR5 6400MHz • OS: Windows 11 Home • Game installed on NVMe SSD Issue: I’m experiencing constant micro-stuttering throughout gameplay. My FPS stays high, but the game doesn’t feel smooth at all. Before Fullscreen Exclusive was removed, Destiny 2 ran buttery smooth on this exact system. Consistent Reproduction Steps: The easiest way to reproduce the stutter is by opening the character screen and quickly scrolling through my super Fragments. Every time I scroll between Fragments, I get a noticeable hitch. The same type of hitch happens constantly during normal gameplay while moving, turning the camera, or in combat. Troubleshooting Already Tried: • Updated NVIDIA drivers • Verified game files • Toggled Control Flow Guard on and off • Toggled Windows Exploit Protection on and off • Adjusted BIOS settings (PBO and EXPO/XMP) • Tried different graphics settings and FPS caps • Spent around 10 hours troubleshooting with no lasting improvement Hopefully this helps the team identify the issue. If you need any additional information, logs, or testing on my system, I’d be happy to help. Thanks!

Stuttering primarily in 6v6 crucible or add dense raids. Occurs consistently. Turning off Steam overlay improves the issue but does not fix it. https://pastebin.com/gGECkcYv CPU: Ryzen 5800 GPU: Radeon 9070XT RAM: 16gb DDR4 Corsair

1. I don't have a video comparison sorry, but I am experiencing issues similar to many others on this forum. Low CPU and GPU usage, inconsistent fps on locations like the Moon and Kepler, especially in open world areas, as well as the issues only occurring on the Steam version of the game. 2. https://pastebin.com/A8DET8F4 3. I have played pretty much everything except for crucible, raids, and dungeons. It seems like it is affecting the entire game but is worse in some playlists/areas. I have experienced the worst during open world locations such as the Moon and Kepler. 6 player arena playlists also have this issue present to a lesser extent, especially Ketchcrash during the final encounter. 4. Open world areas on the Moon and Kepler are the worst, but ever open world area seems to suffer from this to some extent. Neptune had the least performance issues while the Moon had the most amount of issues. 5. I am unsure of anything specific that would be reproducing the performance issues, as it is occurring every time I do any of the aforementioned activities. I have changed graphic settings as well as doing many of the suggested fixes such as adjusting Steam settings and updating my GPU drivers. 6. The only fix that I found was the play the game using the Xbox app. During a side by side test on the Moon, (testing in the exact same location minutes apart with the same settings) I was averaging about 55 fps with 30% GPU utilization on the Steam version. The Xbox version in the exact same spot was locked at 138 fps with 97% gpu utilization. There is also no perceivable micro stutters on the Xbox version.

Since the launch of EoF, I noticed a sharper decline in the game's PC performance for me personally. None of my clan mates noticed the performance loss, so I wrote it off. Now with the launch of MoT, my clan mates are coming around and noticing the issue as well while it has only gotten worse for me. It's worth noting that I am the only ultra wide monitor user in my clan. 1. N/A 2. https://pastebin.com/LCK3uKaZ 13700k, 32GB RAM, 5070ti, 3400x1440 @175hz, g-sync 3. My main issue is poor frame pacing. Bad 1% lows that swing wildly between 40-80% of my quoted frame rate. My typical fps during gameplay sits between 165-140 with 1% lows staying around 100. I primarily play RaD content, but lately just about everything but PvP 4. Examples https://imgur.com/a/A2JYyQv 4a. Standing in the tower doing nothing averages 120fps with 1% lows fluctuating between 60-20, just awful. Moving around the tower stutters and is noticeably choppy with no in game action to take my focus. 4b. Just the other day during a run of DSC I saw wildly different results. Security had decent fps but wildly swinging 1% lows (see included screen shots). During Atraks and the descent, my average fps tanked to 60 (or below) with 1% lows at 15 (which I sadly do not have screen grabs of). The raid in total displays both ends of the spectrum with regards to performance. In both cases, 1% lows were consistently wild. 5. I wish I had precise reproduction steps, but it the issue really is just about EVERYWHERE in the game. Fps fluctuations are normal (but shouldn't be normalized) and the poor 1% lows have been a constant since EoF for me. 6. I've tried some of the community recommendations to disable steam interface/controller/etc features and change GPU driver settings to disable g-sync/add frame rate caps/etc. None have helped. Changing the in game settings to extremes (maxed out vs lowest possible) has not had a meaningful impact.

Edited by Uncle Pizza: 7/1/2026 4:41:59 AMI have had performance issues as well... ~40-60 fps drop from what i was getting last week and the stability is horrible. I usually cap out at 237 FPS because i have a limit on my FPS but i cant even sit at that anymore, im in trhe 160s and dipping as low as 95 fps on sorrows harbor which is where i usually go to test ultimate performance capability. I have also noticed a lot of hitching and stuttering in every game mode. Its not like a freeze but a micro stutter that makes the game feel choppy and was affecting my performance in every game more, PvP and PvE. My specs are: R7 9850X3D 5080 Gigabyte Gaming OC 32gb DDR5 Corsair Vengeance RAM 2TB Kingspec SSD Asus TUF B850e wifi motherboard Just an overall performance hit. Marathon is just as bad despite the upgrades to performance that were apparently made, Ive been through about 3 different PCs with different versions of 5080s and R7/R9 processors and all of them performed poorly to what the price and performance raster of the components should be achieving on a game like Marathon... but back to Destiny... The game has just been performing very poorly since the last patch. I dont know if it was a combination of the steam update and the recent NVidia driver udpate, but something on the end of the software is messed up and changed... unless its a Windows thing that came out i dont know about..\ PLEASE FIX!! If yall are going to make this next patch the last one forever, at least make it the one that makes the game playable for some people and more bearable for others that have the components to still pull through this performance plague. I want to enjoy the last moments of my time playing this game, not being disappointed in the performance!

I have the same issue. I noticed getting lower fps since the most recent patch - it went down from an average of 80-100 to 60-70 specifically on The Moon and Neomuna while on patrol. Also, microstutter issues have been occuring since exclusive fullscreen was removed a while ago, with noticeably bad 1% lows that make it very difficult to play PvP; these microstutter issues are worse on newer areas, especially the Europa pvp map. It's very difficult to actually measure these performance issues though since advanced programs like RTSS have been blocked.

https://pastebin.com/XTEVQfKg I've personally been experiencing these weird stutters ever since I got this PC around Edge of Fate launch. System Model: Alienware Area-51 AAT2250 Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) Ultra 9 285K (24 CPUs), ~3.7GHz Memory: 65536MB RAM Card name: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 The framerate is lower than I'd like it to be, and like clockwork, every 55 or 56 seconds , the FPS dips to what feels like 10 FPS... and back up to where it hovers around 90 or 100. I've literally timed it trying to figure out whats wrong. Spent hours troubleshooting. But the issue only happens in D2. In this clip, the dip happens right when I go around the corner, I could feel it immediately and started circling my mouse around to help demonstrate it. https://medal.tv/games/destiny-2/clips/n1vwq2NayHEqRd0cU Thanks for looking into this, hope it can get resolved.

I have the same issues. Frame rates drop from around 220 down to 150 and below, especially in 6s. Seems to be connected to when a lot is going on cause while I initially did not have issues to the same extend when switching from Steam to Windows, I now experience the same frame drops on Windows while playing the Eruption game mode. In addition to the frame drops, everything seems de-synced. My shots don't connect and I get killed by players in plain sight who did not show up on my screen or my radar and are not running invis. I've cleared my NVIDIA cache multiple times to no avail. Except for textures I run the lowest graphics settings for max fps at Full HD. Edited by VE3TRO: 7/1/2026 12:48:37 PMHaving issues with this latest update on STEAM client. I'm noticing frame rates and stability are worse on this with my 5080 than I had on a 4070 Ti which I used through 2023 to January this year. I've uploaded a comparison video showing certain areas in the game between the STEAM and EPIC clients. You'll see the STEAM is up and down quite a lot in some areas but more stable on EPIC. I haven't tested yet but I've been told that the XBOX version is also fine like EPIC. This is with the Vsync 165 and Reflex Boost On ingame settings. With them disabled on EPIC I could easily hit 200 FPS which in some areas would be double of what the STEAM variant is reaching. Pastebin - https://pastebin.com/FBnzTQxS CVAR - https://pastebin.com/dDNiyjeB YouTube - https://youtu.be/inCfmWz22Vs This is on a under-volted 13700k with an RTX 5080 / 32 GB DDR5 5600. No thermal issues. No third party overlays were enabled apart from OBS for video capture. I didn't use any FPS tools apart from the in-game overlay. Video and graphic settings were identical between both client launchers.

Edited by Golden: 7/1/2026 7:39:55 PMRTX 5070 Ryzen 7700 32GB Ram 2TB Storage - Tried optimizing in NVIDIA app, didn’t work. - All AMD, NVIDIA, and Windows drivers are up to date. - Verified files. Didn’t work. - Turned Steam overlay as DMG04 stated on X. Didn’t work. Removing dedicated fullscreen a while ago was pretty much the nail on the coffin, performance has only gotten worse.

CPU:AMD Ryzen 5 3600 6-Core Processor GPU:NVIDIA RTX 3600 i got the stutter everywhere, so it's kind of useless describe which activity/maps, but on the moon and in 6/12 man activities are worse, i drop always around 50fps Even with all the GPU accelleration disabled, i still get the same issue

Edited by Maul Tarlowe, Stoneborn: 7/1/2026 3:47:18 AMhttps://pastebin.com/yxfwwhv2 I'm not even going to post a Youtube video. EVERYWHERE has had its FPS drop to the double digits with 1% lows in the 30-40s. CPU is spiking to ~70F when loading into the Tower. It never saw the better part of 60F anywhere in Sol. After you removed the exclusive fullscreen option is when all of these problems started showing up. First it was still playable in the 200s with 1% in the low 100s, now I just have to grit my teeth and deal with 2010's computer spec FPS numbers if I want to play D2. I still love the Bungie Team. You did not deserve this. EDIT: I have since removed around 200 armor pieces from my vault and my FPS and 1% lows have stabilized a bit? Up from 89 in the Tower to 165 and 1% lows have jumped from 30 to around 100? My vault was 1300/1300 and at 1106/1300 my frames started to stabilize everywhere around Sol. I'm talking like 100+ in some instances.

Before these updates my performance was much higher and smoother. Examples: Orbit: ~165 FPS Tower: much smoother PvE activities: generally around 90–120 FPS Now performance is much worse, especially when many enemies spawn or while opening inventories. The issue is reproducible every session. (tested multiple times) Test 1 - Everything set to LOW Orbit Normal: 138 FPS Opening Vault: 106–94 FPS Tower Average: 76–58 FPS Menu vendors: 60–54 FPS Opening Vault: 44–64 FPS Many micro stutters. Ikora (Lower Tower) 103–89 FPS Performance here feels mostly normal. Hawthorne Usually: 81 FPS Sometimes: 66 FPS Saint-14 Hallway: 85–103 FPS Inventory: 74 FPS The Coil (example) Beginning: 89–103 FPS Activity menu: 100–67 FPS Low enemy count: 93–86 FPS Large enemy groups: FPS drops to 54 FPS sometimes and stay there Heavy combat: 71–57 FPS average Frequent micro stuttering. Test 2 - Custom Settings (similar to what I used before) Settings include: FXAA HDAO Texture Quality: Highest Texture Filtering: 16x Shadow Quality: Low Environment Detail: Low Character Detail: Low Foliage: Low Light Shafts: Medium Motion Blur: Off NVIDIA Reflex: On + Boost Orbit 138–151 FPS Opening Vault: 127–131 FPS Character Details screen: 97–89 FPS Tower Average: 81–63 FPS Average while moving: around 73 FPS Menu Vendors: 69–59 FPS Zavala: 59–65 FPS Opening Vault: 54–67 FPS Saint-14 Hallway: 105–89 FPS Standing next to Saint-14: 81–91 FPS Activity menu: 65–71 FPS The Coil (example activity) Beginning: 111–96 FPS Few enemies: 106–83 FPS Respawn area: 124–113 FPS Medium enemy count: 71–67 FPS Sometimes suddenly: 98–84 FPS Heavy enemy groups: 84–65 FPS Average: around 75 FPS Large fights still occasionally drop to: 51 FPS In some situations, the FPS drops to around 60 or lower and remains there for a noticeable amount of time instead of briefly dipping and recovering. Lower Tower 103–89 FPS Hawthorne: 85–73 FPS Additional observations Surprisingly, Custom/High settings perform better than Low settings. Low settings actually produce lower FPS and more stuttering. Performance becomes significantly worse whenever many enemies spawn. The Tower and the Vault consistently produce FPS drops. Lowering graphics settings does not resolve the issue. This behavior only started after the recent Destiny 2 updates. Unfortunately, I was unable to provide a DxDiag report or a gameplay video. I hope the information and testing results above are sufficient to help with the investigation. Additonally the issue occurs regardless of whether I use Low settings or my previous Custom settings. Lowering graphics settings etc does not resolve the problem. Thank you for investigating this issue.

https://pastebin.com/cpnx2fpd Steam All content stutters, especially PVP. Going to the Moon in Sorrows Harbor and strafing left to right and counter aiming the strafe direction slowly will show if I have the stutters or not. In the past they would randomly go away or not be there on launch sometimes, recently they are the worst they've ever been.
