Windows 11 - Random Black Screen and Unstable Performance

Hi Bungie, I've been experiencing a very frustrating issue with Destiny 2 on Windows 11. The game randomly goes into a black screen while I'm playing. It doesn't seem to matter what activity I'm doing—it can happen during regular gameplay, missions, or other activities. Sometimes the game appears to continue running in the background, but the display is completely black, forcing me to restart the game. Besides the black screen issue, the overall performance doesn't feel stable. Frame pacing can be inconsistent, and the game occasionally behaves strangely in fullscreen/borderless modes. It really feels like Destiny 2 isn't fully stable on Windows 11. I've already tried the common troubleshooting steps (graphics driver updates, checking game files, monitoring temperatures, etc.), but the issue still occurs. I know I'm not the only player experiencing this, so I'm hoping Bungie can investigate these Windows 11 stability problems and include fixes in future updates. Destiny 2 is an amazing game, but issues like this make it difficult to enjoy. • Hi there, Thank you for reaching out. I'm sorry to hear that you are having issues when trying to play the game. If you have not already done so, please ensure that all of your drivers, windows, and your BIOS are all fully up-to-date. If that does not help, please try uninstalling and reinstalling the game. If you still run into the same issue despite all of this, can you provide us with a copy of your DxDiag? You can copy and paste it over on PasteBin and provide us with the link. To find this information:
• Press (Windows Key + R) to bring up the Run dialog box, enter this command “dxdiag” without quotation marks. • Click on “Save all information”. • Copy the text and use a text dump website (i.e. PasteBin.com) to paste the information. Please don't use Google Drive. • Create a link and post it here.
