So this will probably be seen as "cope" but it's a public forum so oh well. I feel an odd sense of hope for the continuation of the IP. It will take a few years for us to see anything, I think we can all agree that would be a given, but I can't imagine even Sony, being so stupid to pay so much for a company and sit on it. Sitting on an IP individually is one thing, but a whole company? Nah. Yes they have laid off, or purged depending on how you want to look at it, a huge portion of the staff. But consider that could also be a house cleaning strat in preparation for something better down the road. I understand it looks bleak, and the likely outcome is the doors shut for good, but idk, I just have a feeling about this.
