I am just curious what popular opinion is. I watched a bunch of videos on cheating in Apex the last few weeks, and it made me wonder how bad it really is in Destiny PVP (or is percieved to be). Console only, because i only play console. EDIT: Pick the number closest to what you think EDIT 2: These are cheats against Bungie's TOS: >>> Software and Hardware <<< > Connecting to the game using any of the following is strictly prohibited: Modified game software, assets, or modified console firmware. > External programs like aimbots, autofire, trainers, or mods. > User mode or kernel debuggers, or graphics hacks. > Emulators or virtual machines. > Third-party apps used to insert code into the game client. > External programs/devices that automate gameplay or bypass idle detection. >>> Network Manipulation <<< > Network Tampering: Altering or interrupting Destiny network traffic to disrupt others or gain an in-game advantage. > Malicious traffic: Sending malicious traffic to Bungie servers or other players (e.g., DDoS attacks). > Poor connections: Habitual network manipulation or intentionally maintaining a poor connection to affect matchmaking. >>> Matchmaking Exploits <<< > Win trading: Intentionally manipulating matches to boost stats or gain rewards. > Account recoveries: Paying for, or providing, a service where someone else plays on your account (often for flawless trials or high-level raid clears). > Benefiting from cheaters: Intentionally grouping with and gaining gameplay benefits from players using any of the aforementioned cheats.

  • Some guy did a video about this last year, he went very in-depth going on sales from sites of the devices, I forget the details but his takeaway was 1 in 3 console gamers use these devices - it's more prevalent the higher up the sbmm bracket you go, & the difference is very small in that unless you know what you're looking for you won't see it. I read their forums a few years ago just out of curiosity but turned out I used it every few months as users discussed what the current go-to was so I could spot it in game. A few I remember were the pulse peace of mind was very popular, very fast ttk & it had no recoil with help, so could map at scout range. Crimson was very popular, & shotgun melee/melee shotgun, so you shoot or punch & it auto does both without you doing anything. Their site had a top 5 best sellers of strike packs I think they're called, basically pre set moves that you just add or whatever, and that current destiny season, was the number 2 selling pack behind cod, & it was well ahead of the 3rd game. I've bought the last few cods & sold them the same release day because most people use these, you can tell very easily in cod thanks to killcams. I'm sure lower brackets aren't 1 in 3 but if you're even average you'll see them everywhere, the guys at crazy ranges with smgs which have no recoil. It killed MP gaming for me & I've played them for 20 years, now I never do. Btw found a thread on there from 2014 were a guy worked out how to rapid fire no recoil mida, oh they enjoyed saying how bad bungies coders were. Bungie capped firerates because of that guy lol

    • OK. I admit it. I joined and left Comp. matches to glitch my Artifacts.

        • To put things into perspective in Apex Legends 79% of the "TOP" players where banned for cheating.link Destiny being non competitive at all is more vulnerable. A lot of "TOP" players in Destiny cheat, most of the time it's Network manipulation but they have premium cheats so it's harder to detect. Plain pathetic.

Easy to back out and matchmake, too. When you catch a cheater doming you with TLW from halfway across a large map, that MIGHT be a tell.lol

            • I’d say it’s around 4-5% of console PvP players. It’s not every lobby. Most common is Xim/Chronus with very few hard cheats or exploits. Most common tell is movement, though it’s much harder to tell without a kill cam. Not anywhere near the worst. CoD, Rivals, and Apex still hold those top spots by a good bit.

Sometimes, I think Bungie are the cheaters If I finally put up a high KDA game, then the following matches are when I notice the bad hit detection, ghost bullets, and wiffs. It's almost like a form of punishment for doing good.

                • I don't think there is any need of this post since we already know there's cheaters on the game with cronus/aim macros. Even a blind man could see that. If you don't think there is then you're more stupid than I thought.

                    • What exactly do you classify as cheating?
