Good portion of petitions flop.
-
🤣🤣 Huge waste of time. As if you all had the power to make change
-
Since the creator of the petition knew already it wouldn’t greenlight a D3 on its own, but intended to send a message, I’d call it successful. The petition went viral in the gaming community. Enough for even Xbox to notice, which 100% means the cowards at Sony did.

2 RepliesEdited by PandaPapa146: 6/26/2026 3:51:26 PMNo…because a very powerful statement was made by the Guardian Community. 👈 Sony / BHQ / Other possible Interested Parties - will have seen it, too… 🤔 That is all. 😉* Carry On 😎👻 MTFBWY * missed one 🤫

For unity purposes, yes. Overall no. I'll be honest I was expecting over million signatures, 400k isn't bad though
-
Depends on what one considers a success. Did it get D3 greenlit? Not at this time, no. Did it give people feel like they were doing something by showing support? Yes. I think that the player numbers and actual time spent by those players in the game will say more to execs/ money persons for future considerations though.

Anything Sony does with regards to the IP is going to be aimed at sucking player wallets dry, so success or failure is a moot point. If Sony though every player in Destiny would go out and drop $1k on a new console AND $200 a year on Plus, Destiny 3 would be launching tomorrow. It's not. Get over it and enjoy what is already there. Let Sony know they can -blam!- off by never buying another console or game on their platform. They've already shifted focus back to single player games in development, trying to regain marketshare. Let them know "too little, too late" and maybe they'll go back to making walkmans and leave gaming to Steam, whose greed is legendary as well, but who at least delivers, most of the time.

3 RepliesIt flopped the second it was created lol how many signatures did it end up getting?
-
Yes. It was never going to work.
-
Yes, especially if D3 is not made by Bungie.
-
People aren’t gonna shut up about D3 for a while lol, petition or not.
-
I signed it just to see how far it would get. Not looking great, in my opinion. If it had exceeded 1 million signatures, I figure someone would have at least scheduled a meeting to discuss the matter.
-
It was never going to accomplish other than letting Sony know how big of a mistake they are making.
-
Yes. Great intentions, but kind of naive.
-
Yes it ultimately changed nothing the end result was the same as if it didn't happen. No D3 and D2 still ending support with no plans for the future of the ip

Cryen-7Once a Guardian, always a Guardian. - old
No, because we got attention and made loads of people react to this. Yes, because no D3. Enjoy D2 while it last. -
