8 RepliesIf you're worried about seeing inappropriate words you should probably just stay off the internet altogether.

7 RepliesBungie names will still be moderated as they're still used in Marathon.

I don't think the Mods are Bungie employees. To the best of my knowledge they are volunteer community members. Bungie probably has some rules and guidelines but the Ninjas cut the throats. There is a non zero chance it's gonna get wild and wooly around here.

But how would they get you to buy Marathon out of desperation if they did that?

Edited by Goregram: 6/25/2026 12:42:19 AMso are they ending service or not? so cheater reports work the same? Caring more about hurt feelings then cheating an making a quality game an fixing bugs is 1 reason i left the 2nd time an wont play marathon im confused

Idk that "end of service" means the same as "no more content". Like, we're not getting any new stories, activities, or loot... but the Raids & Dungeons are still gonna rotate every week. The EverSource store is still getting refreshed everyday... so there's obviously *some* maintenance still being done on Destiny. They've never been quick to address the cheaters & inappropriate names anyway, so I would just assume that it will take even longer now.

Both actually because that's the definition of the removal of life service you don't get any updates you don't get any contact, and if you do get updates it's because to fix some kind of major issue that can impact player experience. We have had the same thing with Destiny 1 when Destiny 2 start it was the exact same thing. Example if you play games like outriders which is in maintenance mode, because of similar issues what happened to Destiny 2, it also happened to outriders these video games companies they never learn from each other they keep making the same.
