FPS drops and overall super low fps as of yesterday's update
Title says it all, low fps as of yesterday , same computer and everything (7800x3d rtx3090) , just not geting the same performance i had as of yesterday . Was wondering if there were more reports for similar issues so i just decided to write here

same. had bad 1% lows before the update, now i get AWFUL stutters and frame pacing to the point where it gives me a headache if i play too long. i really hope they can do something about it and that this gets enough attention

1 ReplyBeen having the same problems. Stuttering frequently, especially on patrol and pretty much everywhere on the moon. Never had any performance issues with this game before. Always been stable at ~280 fps till this week’s update. Really really really hoping that there’s someone still at Bungie reading this and can fix it :/

same issue. overall lower fps and massive stutters. had to double check if nothing changed with my hardware or software however since everything was unchanged it had to be this updaate

Yes! I'm having a similar issue since Tuesday. Before Tuesday I was experiencing super smooth gameplay but ever since the 9.7.0.2 update it has felt insanely choppy with really wonky frame time. I've noticed it on the moon while doing Distortion events, Astral Alignment, lost sectors and even the Tower. It's pretty much game-wide for me. Before Tuesday I had made 0 changes or tweaks to my settings. I run the game at 1080p with a Radeon 9060 XT 16GB and I had not experienced anything like these major hitches and frame stutters for quite some time. The last time I can remember it being this problematic was when Edge of Fate released, but I was on some older hardware that I upgraded from back in March of this year.

yeah, same issue here, its too bad bro, i prefer having the bugs, they should reverse the changes if it means better performance, its unbearable bro, i had 200 fps, now i had 50. tf had happend?

same here - i tried virtually every setting to make the game playable again, but it sucks so bad. </3

Crucible and patrol like moon feel awful since the update, not only is overall framerate lower but the 1% lows are much lower than before and makes everything feel stuttery. 5700x3d 5070 ti, had zero framerate problems before the very last update.

Happening to my entire clan on pc. Usually stable 200+ fps 1440. Pvp has horrific frame pacing now

Same issue here. I really hope this gets fixed, because as of right now the game is borderline unplayable. I'm on an AMD Radeon RX 9070. 32gb RAM. i9 10900k CPU. Currently the game feels even worse than just having a stable 30 fps would be. And it's not an issue on my end, every other game I own runs perfectly fine.

This actually seems to be an issue now. I thought it was just me and some bad connection while I was trying to play some Control yesterday. Something was so off that I couldnt play and logged off and was like what the hell just happened. Went to play other games that worked just fine.
