These people in the replies are a big reason why this game died, no one can have a single complaint about their game or they'll gang up on you whether you're right or not, they call everyone else toxic while not being able to look in the mirror and see themselves for what they are.

Look at all the toxic people commenting . I would say 90% of the destiny 2 community is an eager edge moron so it is pointless to even talk about it cause you gonna have these toxic people saying you gotta get gud or whatever . I agree , the ones speedrunning with eager edge ruin the activity but the thing is they cannot do it alone so leave them and start up another activity . They only eager edge cause they wanna annoy you but the moment they see you leave , they will leave aswell cause they can eager edge their way to the boss but cannot take care of the boss itself cause they get killed by it . Just leave them be in their imaginary world and find real people to play with . They are just a bunch of toxic dorks . No need to have them in your life . Just move on . They need you harder than you need them cause they cannot play solo or else they die . 😂

Some of it is timed. I never wanted it the game to begin with. Because yeah, I'm killing everything... keep up. I skate eveywhere now with bonkers DPS on my False Idol.

Can I just point out that from your 3 recent games (in master quickplay), you were with the same person with Eager Edge and you didn’t try to re-queue. 2. People use Eager Edge to speedrun, it has nothing to do with “being cool.” Not to mention, it’s Master Quickplay, the activity itself isn’t hard…like at all, so it makes sense for players to use Eager Edge. 3. You’re playing Master Quickplay, and somehow you’re going down a lot while being 550? Either there’s a terrible modifier in that playlist or you’re putting yourself in a terrible position that is causing you to go down a lot. For example, the recent activity, you went down 5 times in Master Glassway, while the rest of your group didn’t go down at all. How? What exactly was causing you to go down a lot? You cannot just blame your teammates that are using Eager Edge, when they’re preforming fine. This isn’t me trying to be toxic btw, I’m just genuinely curious on what’s causing you to go down a lot in these activities where it shouldn’t be that difficult.

Ask yourself, if eager edge was deleted today would that really change anything? I think it should be pretty obvious the answer is no. People running past ads now would still run past them without the perk. They would still speed through strikes and get to the end as fast as possible, because thats thier goal and how they enjoy playing the game. So taking away the fun sword tool is just a way to punish people for not playing the way you want them to. It does nothing to change the behavior you don't like. You'd be better off asking for constant barriers that require a certain number of kills before you can pass. Which would of course end with them nuking every enemy in a room before you even got there and running ahead anyhow and now you dont even get to fight. So ask yourself, what do you really hope to accomplish by removing eager edge besides just punishing people who play a way you dont like? Realistically, what does a world without eager edge look like? The real solution is the same every time someone makes a post like this. Make your own fire team. Like it or not, you are the one demanding other people play a certain way. Not the people who are trying to beat the strike efficiently. They are off in there own world doing whatever. They're not trying to be cool or any of the other things you projected onto them. You might as well not even exist to them because you dont impact thier playing. They demand nothing of you. You said they're not helpful, but theyre completing the strike. So what does helpful mean to you? You being dead isnt 'helpful'. You being far behind isnt 'helpful', but they arent demand you change the way you play. If you want a strike to be played out a specific way or have your own goals, the burden is on you, not anyone else, to make them happen. As a side note. People hardly ever revive others in video games in general. But consider it from their perspective. They dont notice you go down immediately(if at all). Then once they do, they have to traverse a whole battle, risking their own life, to revive someone who's usually in a terrible position (because thats the most common way people die) just for the downed person to respawn on there own because this whole process took so long. So yeah, most of the time its not worth the hassle of reviving a teamate. And in d2 especially when in most content that has revives its actually better to have the person respawn over being revived. Your goal should always be staying alive. If you're alive you're shooting enemies or distracting them. A dead teamate does neither and is just one person closer to a wipe.
