PvP still needs another balance pass.

You can tell exactly why Bungie is going to lay off half the studio or more at this point. It's purely incompetence at the management level. There is no general direction for anything. There never was. On to our mostly final balance update for now anyway, and thank god they at least fixed most of the broken stuff before they dip out. PvP sat in a gutter around Beyond Light and some of the era after where it was nothing but slide shotgun and HC throughout the entirety of the game. Crucible numbers dropped to insanely low levels because of it. During TFS Crucible bit the dust again and was a literal hellscape of OP garbage, bugs, and glitches for months and months. The entire population crashed despite people liking the expansion. It never recovered. Prismatic was so awkward and OP for so long, among other things, that nobody had the time to wait around to see anything balanced. It took them ages to get autos, sidearms, pulse rifles, and other weapons back into the mix. Then they went on a crusade of eliminating special ammo and trying to minimize abilities for like a year. Then they suddenly stopped, and now special ammo is everywhere and ability spam is still a thing. Lowering it to 125% max probably at least made things doable I guess. Somehow while I was gone the criers and screamers got weapons like Devil's Ruin nerfed into the ground and changed because it was too strong against the poors using HC's and shotguns. I swear the top players in this game are literally direct connections to the devs. Whenever a single gun or frame starts to irritate the care bear HC crowd, it gets nerfed into the ground in the following months. Every. Single. Time. We have come full circle. I am content now. Enjoy your vacations, Bungie Management. Nobody will ever miss you.

  • Ok so: Hand canons are ok and take no skill. Shotguns are ok and take no skill. Pulse Rifles are op and take no skill. Fusion Rifles are op and take no skill. Scout Rifles are op and take no skill. Auto Rifles are op and take no skill. Sidearms are op and take no skill. SMG are op and take no skill. Snipers are op and take no skill. Melee abilities are op and take no skill. Barricade is op and takes no skill. Warlock buddies are op and take no skill. Invis is op and takes no skill. Grenades and op and take no skill. Am I leaving anything out? This has just been in the past couple of months. A lot of these just the past few weeks. Have you all NOT figured out yet that when one thing gets nerfed then that opens up the next thing to become “op”? No, ya’ll haven’t because YOU just want YOUR favorite thing to be “op” and pretend it’s balanced. How about instead of crying for a nerf to something, ya’ll find the counter to said “op”. I guarantee you, there IS a counter. Just my thoughts.

    • Pulses are literally better than hcs outside of peak shooting and team shooting And outside of dmg perks hcs don’t 2 tap your just complaining about a non existent problem

      Might be just me, but for me it feels like after MoT update hand cannons became more lethal than before the update. Before MoT it felt that it was easier to fight with Autorifle or Pulse, and now these autos and pulses that I used before feel much weaker and I dont wanna use them anymore.

    • When has pvp in destiny ever really been anything but constant spawn kill that can get so bad that spawn invincibility or spawn damage reflection would have ZERO negative consequences, tag team because most are incapable of getting kills on their own without a OHK weapon/ ability they seemingly always have access to, or "OP" weapons (of which several actually weren't OP but if people ***** enough Bungie will nerf it anyway) that get "too strong" with a certain perk, or abusing a glitch that somehow has a tendency to last too long? The only thing that changes in pvp is what gun someone someone is trying to kill with. The "skill" and how cheaply people play to the point it's no better than cheating stays the same.
