You do realize ex-Bungie employees have been speaking ill of management from before Sony took over? Sony told Bungie to cut costs and Bungie management were the ones who decided to can Destiny. The only villains in this story are Bungie management.

Lord of The Rings and so many other cultural IPs that bring us all together. If you wan change yo have to show up and demand it. Keep up the pressure Guardians. They didn't change "Ugly Sonic" into a movie Trilogy because corporate has more than 2 brain cells to rub together. They changed it because people slapped sense into their tiny corporate rat brains. 10 Replies9 year old abandoned and malnourished game that received one final update: 160k players (on their lowest platform steam) Vs 4 month old brand new shiny game that came out with a brand new season around a week ago AND has a free trial: 25k (on their alleged highest platform steam) No one wants Maraslop besides the hardcore fan base. I feel like Sony is just afraid to have another Concord situation where they have to shutdown marathon so they’re pumping as much resources to keep it alive lol.

They understand that Destiny players generally numbered in the millions, then the 100s of thousands but lately just the 10s of thousands. They belatedly understand that Bungie burned through the money they stole from their former customers. They understand that there won't be enough revenue generated by the latest uptick of players to cover Bungie's rent and payroll.

The made a game, no one was asking for to chase trends, and new players, all without listening to the players that were playing, and spending money. They just expected that all the D2 players would just jump over to a brand new IP, cause Destiny is a co-op, console looter shooter with rpg elements. Marathon is a niche battle royal, hero shooter with extraction elements, and built for the hardcore extraction crowd. These things are not the same, and now Sony will spend millions on this to prove that this is not another concord, while Bungie spend years turning this back into some version of Destiny. There is going to be more than a few management corpos with a flop sweat.

I agree with you, but Sony does not understand. Decision has been made and only money talks. Been here since D1 when I started playing it with PS and then swapped to PC when D2 came. I even spent little money on eververse lol only to show some support here and there, but yet here we are - enough is not enough.
