Recommended Computer Specs For Gaming @ 1440p w/ Very Stable 120 FPS?
I'm wondering what [GPU] + AMD CPU would y'all recommeneded for gaming (specifically w/ Destiny 2 in my mind) at 1440p native (not upscaled) with preferably 1% lows being in the 100 to 120 fps and a max fps target cap at 180 fps with all in-game settings being set to the lowest. Thanks ya'll.

Edited by Golden: 6/9/2026 7:33:35 PMThe game is poorly optimized to reach consistent 140+ FPS and super high settings. Maybe during Forsaken, but they haven’t put out a genuine PC patch for YEARS. I’ve got a 5070 with a Ryzen 7700 and can reach 140+ at LOW settings. This is the only game that I run low settings. I manage to run Forza 6 at extreme with consistent 180fps lol.

5 RepliesRtx 2080 Ryzen 5600 series 16gb ram Depending on the monitor.. You would be a solid 140fps to 180fps Ie this is a last gen computer build. Meaning anything newer than above will be giving you the performance you want. Being that you are just now building… I would go for a new gen motherboard and gpu in the 3000 numbers. Any new gen ryzen cpu But, unfortunately, you will spend a lot of money on ram. Prices are 3x+ higher than when I built my pc.
