Have you, as a console player, ever reported a player for cheating and then have had a notification from Bungie that they ever did something about it?
I suspect that Bungie has stopped caring about cheaters, and it shows. I mean they could just ban anyone for using a CZ, it's pretty easy to see if someone is entering 1000's of inputs per second, but they just don't care. I've actually seen a lag switch recently and that person didn't even get booted.

It’s my body my choice, cheaters deeply offend me. So if someone is better I don’t question if they’re cheating or not and I get offended and automatically report them. A safe team environment, here we don’t like heroes and we make every effort to stamp out anyone that’s an outlier. So that’s what I do! Report everyone who’s better than me! -
I know this is about CONSOLE, but I just want to say that when people say that Bungie does not do anything is wrong. I play on PC and I have made multiple reports about cheating and seen BANHAMMER banners when loggin in that cheaters got what they deserved so yeah Bungie does do something. Mostly on clear cases when I have seen cheaters flying around the map, shooting our whole team with sniper from the starting area etc. on very clear cheating cases. And about cheatin overall I have seen these kind of extreme cheats yes, but very very rarely. About someone using "aimbots" etc. its hard to see, becuse of lag and all. Mostly other players are just better than me and I just keep going on.

I’ve reported many people for griefing, this past weekend I had a trials random that would run up to the other team and stand still every round. By the end of the match he had 0 damage dealt while the rest of us had a few kills. Not once has any of my reports done anything and it gets to the point where I know nothing will happen but I feel better at least making the effort. Why queue up for a game just to not play it, especially where winning actually benefits you unlike regular 6v6

I used to. Then after a while I reported the SAME ACCOUNTS and since 2023-24, received NOTHING.

1 ReplyYoull get a notification when you log in to destiny about action taken against a player the report actually worked against. Its very rare but yes your notified that action was taken.

Yes I did but I also play PC so not sure what got on. On console though, in trials I matched two players who were farming kills by matching on separate teams and then baiting their teammates until it was them left 1v1 and then just ran around farming revives between each other. The game history must show like 50+ Kd and kills so easy to find and I reported these two and never got a notification of a ban.

I've reported players, and have had up to now, 3 separate messages from xbox saying the person you've reported has been dealt with, but it didn't say how. They probably got a free game lol.

Usually when I submitted the report using the app instead of in-game (and I made sure to include a video link) And all my reports using the app were for network manipulation... The in-game reports for 3rd party stuff dont seem to do anything

Once, for a numpty cheating in Gambit. He/she/it was invading, and hovering in mid-air, pew-pewing my team and taking no damage.
