Lapsed player needing advice
Hi Guardians,
I'm a former guardian with about 1300 hrs in D2, but haven't played since not long after Lightfall released
The recent announcement and the community rallying together has stirred that motivation within me to go back to the Tower and finish what was started.
So I need some advice on what I should buy content wise and what to focus on first.
Obviously The Final Shape is a must get, but what else?
Ive seen some conflicting opinions over what's worth getting after TFD, some people say the Year of Prophecy as a whole, some say just Renegades
Is there anything else? And are there any recommendations on cheapest routes to get the content?
I'm on Xbox, but could swap to PS5 if it was cheaper - some of the pricing seems to different on PS, but not sure if I would lose all previously purchased content if i moved to PS5?

4 RepliesCan't comment on what to buy but will say this: Wait until after the June 9th release as Bungie said everything is getting heavily discounted.

1 ReplyA lot of people are suggesting waiting for discounts. I suggest you play for free until you start to feel like you're missing out on things. Then you can decide what content might be worth paying for.

3 RepliesWait till Tuesday after reset to buy anything. Apparently there's a bundle with everything in it, quite cheap, & it goes cheaper the more of it you already own apparently. PS isnt cheaper because you need ps+ to play, & you can't buy codes online for games. Sites like loaded have Xbox keys cheaper than the Xbox store - they get the codes from Xbox so totally legit.

The game will most likely be on offer soon so pick up all the content. Dungeons are great still (probably better than the ones you’ve played already) and renegades campaign was decent to play. I’d just do final shape campaign and then whatever drops on Tuesday 9th. Make builds, collect weapons etc.

3 RepliesEoF and Renegades are currently on sale for PS (80% and 70% respectively) so I'll probably get those for sale of completion, but I am sure you would prefer having all content on the same device.

3 RepliesTFS is the farewell to Destiny 2 expansion and its pretty good.Don't bother with EoF or renegades - both are garbage.
