It still happens to myself quite frequently. As an avid user of lumina and boots of the assembler, it absolutely cripples me when my rift just *poofs* and does nothing.

Good luck, I used to ask the same thing. Actually asked them to revert the ability to cast it while moving, because that is exactly when this problem started, at least for me. Though I hardly doubt it will ever get fixed.
