And putting all that into words wouldn't stop anyone to just signing a petition. I did and I'm not stupid to expect anything. Does that mean I would like something to happen? Sure. But that's just as much as asking for anthem to be back alive again. No expectations. I'm still gonna be playing either destiny 1 or 2 no matter what. Even if it lessens. Cause it's my game.

If it doesn't work, it doesn't work. Why do you care if people make petitions or whatever? How does it hurt you in the least? "Toxic positivity" 🤣 And if by some miracle it did work, nobody is forcing you to play D3, or whatever iteration they make.

And yet…you’re still on these forums. Do I think it will actually change anything? No. But, players are showing their commitment. Maybe if more people in other gaming communities did that the Stop Killing Games movement wouldn’t have had to happen. Apathy is what got us in this situation in the first place. Are you seriously just saying we should lay down and die? Uninstall the game. Uninstall the app, and move on. If you’re not going to do that, you’re simply a hypocrite.

I don’t think positivity is ever toxic. And whiners generally do nothing except wine so being proactive, getting petitions together, and rallying other people is far from doing nothing. Probably better to remember to live and let live. If it makes these other people feel that they’re doing something to voice their concerns then so be it. It attracts nothing from you. You’re creating your own toxicity by getting so upset over it. Relax. You’ll live longer.

Are you living under a rock? Companies have changed their decisions based on popular outrage it’s not a new thing. Either be a Destiny fan or go away!

1) How does it affect you? Fundamentally, this Forum is for feedback, and people who post suggestions are fulfilling one of the primary roles. If you can't handle that, then don't visit the Forums. 2) We don't know what the future holds. I doubt any large updates will happen, but, as with anything, if there is enough demand for something, it can and frequently does actualize. 3) You are generalizing everyone giving suggestions and making them out to be hopelessly optimistic or whatever. But two weeks ago (right when Bungie announced no new updates), the outlook for a realistic person was quite bleak. It is only with the last few announcements that we got "hope" for the game again. 4) Followup to 3: Not everyone is toxic. Don't stereotype an entire group of peopple for the actions of the few. Thats just common sense.

And what does it cost for people to take 1 minute out of their day to add a signature to this petition. If it adds to a chance to see more of this franchise then might as well sign it. Being realistic - I think Sony will most likely gut Bungie and re hire different people to change the rotten culture that has set in within the Bungie studio. Maybe in a years time when they manage to restructure Bungie to their liking, they might have more confidence in exploring D3 knowing that it won’t be an almost guaranteed waste of money. Individual devs in the studio have proven to be talented and passionate about the game. The “leadership” has been for the most part keeping them shackled and neutered for the sake of min maxing profits to the point of it costing the franchise and reputation.

I don't believe there is a Destiny 3 happening in the next five years. However, all the petitions, the Devs, and the VA's rallying for one is not for naught. It's a loud message to the Execs that this franchise should not be shelved into dust, like Anthem and New World. Destiny needs to continue in some form or at least have the current saga completed some time down the road. I was hooked into Destiny around Dec. 2021 and had to scramble for info and guides. What struck me was the history of the 15th Wish and how the Community got together in hopes of finding it. Eventually, it was solved in Season Of The Wish. The Community rallying may not get a D3 but maybe a "15th Wish." Witcher III got a new DLC. I didn't sign the petition because I just don't want to give out personal info like that. I'm a season Rank 160; I played non-stop; I'm always supporting. But Kudos to those rallying. Drama is so Destiny!

You keep calling people “whiny” for caring about a franchise they invested years into, but acting smug and defeatist doesn’t make you more “realistic” than everyone else. People know petitions probably won’t magically revive the game overnight — the point is that communities rally around things they care about. That’s how fanbases show interest, preserve momentum, and sometimes influence future decisions. And honestly, telling people to “move on” while writing a whole essay mocking them is pretty ironic. If someone wants to sign a petition, post feedback, or hold onto hope for a sequel, that affects you exactly zero percent. You don’t get to decide the “correct” way people process disappointment. Also, your argument kind of contradicts itself. You say Sony/Bungie only care about numbers, then immediately dismiss thousands of people publicly showing support. Community engagement absolutely matters in business decisions — even if it doesn’t guarantee results. At the end of the day, some people would rather try and fail than just sit around acting superior because they gave up first.

These people are literally on withdraw like Destiny 2 is a drug. Looks like Bungie succeeded in their goal by hiring professionals who studied the addiction side of the brain and coached Bungie on how to make Destiny so addicting, nobody wants to stop playing etc. and these people are on withdraw looking for their next fix. Sooo yeah, these addicted people don’t want to give up their dopamine hits so they are acting out with these petitions for their next addiction via Destiny 3. It’s really sad to see. Bungie didn’t listen to their community when we all wanted Infusion/Enhancement Cores removed from the game. And if they won’t listen to that, they sure all heck won’t listen to these petition/Destiny 2.

Sony is a very reactionary company that runs their business with a blindfold on. The got tricked into Morbius being rereleased into theaters over a meme. Imagine how serious they likely take such a ruckus over this. It’s way more likely they push for development like yesterday.
