Old trials prestige ornaments unable to re equip

Hey guys. Got on today to check out some new gear, and decided to check my old trials outfits out. I unequipped the floating cowl prestige ornament and im unable to reequip it. Checking the other pieces, all say ornament is not universally unlocked. Now, ive been able to unequip and re equip them freely before. i did unlock all of them quite some time ago. The other pieces are even stil equipped yet for some reason im unable to claim the ornament from collections, or find it to claim anywhere. Other characters having the same issue with the trials ornaments, previously being equipped, and unable to re equip. The symbol is even greyed out in collections for the helmet. For some reason, its telling me to unlock the ornaments. Go back and do Trials season 1 or 2. Which i cant do now, but already did. Hnce the fact in wearing the ornaments elsewhere already
Any help would be appreciated

3 RepliesEdited by EckyThump: 6/2/2026 12:19:31 PMHey there. First and foremost, all ornaments are unlockables not consumables so it's normal that you can't reclaim them from anywhere. Those old Y1 Armor Ornaments were made to work on specific sets only, and they SHOULD work on those gear pieces (as they did before), but it looks like something's gone awry at some point in time, the list of what they should work with by default is now incorrect. So the message is saying they need to be converted into Universal Ornaments to allow them to go back on that gear piece. It is not affecting the ones that are already applied, just if you remove it, and then try to put it back. It could be because of how obsolete those old gear pieces are. It could have been something that happened when Edge of Fate released? To allow them to go back on the Flowing set by default is something Bungie would have to address and fix. (There are two conflicting messages also, the bit about Season 2 was the original acquisition method, and it's also mentioning the modern Universal Ornament system; it is not saying you need Season 2 to change them into Universal Ornaments, that'd be done through Synthweave).
