I was a Guardian once, like all of my ilk I awoke in the Cosmodrome to the floating visage of my Ghost, waking me from my eternal sleep at the behest of a power I knew nothing about, granted god like powers of my own to stand in its defense from the forces of Darkness. As the years rolled by and the war raged on I met many Guardians like myself, some friendly and others not so much. Despite our differences we all fought for the same purpose, to bring peace to the solar system and to The Last City. I fought and slayed countless foes and laid low tyrant gods, all in the defense of those who could not defend themselves. I rubbed shoulders with legends old and heroes new, all of whom I was proud to call friend. And here, at the end, I find that all I can recall are the good times, the laughs, the trials and tribulations. Now, I lay down my mantle of Hero and don the face of nobody, you might see me as just another passing visage in the streets of the Last City, a whisper of a familiar voice, gone before it can be located. I was a Guardian once, but no longer.
