Sony stock is down right now. However, for some reason some analysts are saying "Strong Buy". Why? That indicates... that the stock price is going to rebound soon. If you research why, it's because Sony plans to... and has been investing in AI. What could be coming to set that off? There were reports that Sony was utilizing AI to build games, in fact one of those reports came from Bungie. BunGPT. When this information came out over a year ago, I looked into timelines per industry standard capabilities. 6 months... it would take for AI to rebuild D2's game code to run on the updated Tiger Engine. Maybe... Here's the cope: It took longer. It's still cooking. Because... AI thus far, isn't meeting expectations in most use cases. It's easily corrupted and manipulated... easy to break. It really needs hand holding by experienced techs to be effective. You can't... in most cases... set it and forget it. And because it can work so fast, the errors can snowball quickly... so it needs to be diligently watched. And that oversight... adds human error into those observations. In stopping the AI from performing actions... or reverting actions the techs don't immediately understand. Potentially getting in the way of innovations... because that coding may not comport with the typical methods/coding. It still helps. It's just not... dump in Destiny 2's spaghetti code, and wait 6 months. Whilst developing and refining those AI systems. I think Infinity may be still coming. And when I look it at from a PR standpoint, how much more tainted could the Bungie and Destiny Franchise become. Maybe Destiny Infinity will be Sony's flagship AI title... branding it as the AI game couldn't damage their reputation much more than it already is. My thoughts if true: You're not going to stop AI integration... and using it to like rebuild game code for modern specs is nonvalue added... Studios need AI to justify it. Otherwise, they won't do it. Black Flag has 3 hrs of extra content coming... and they're charging 80 usd. A mindful approach to AI integration can help gaming. And maybe Destiny Infinity will be the first AAA example.
