This update should fundamentally be disparaged and should NOT have the praise being heaped on it that people are putting out. This update PROVES that for the last several years bungie COULD. They COULD have made a good expansion, they COULD have fixed all the issues in the game, they COULD have made changes to revitalise the game. And they chose not to. This update is a proof of all the criticisms this company has received over the last few years and you ALL should be disappointed and ashamed of Bungie. This proves that they not only had the means but also the ability to make the game worth playing and make it less crap and they CHOSE not to. Bungie you are a disappointment. If you truely intend to follow this path of killing the game I and many other people will hope you go under. You had the ability. You had the biggest modern sci-fi IP in the world. And you destroyed it. For literally almost a DECADE you have ignored player feedback, you have hidden your head in the sand and you have pushed changes and content fundamentally at odds with what the community wanted. Look at the SRL for example, a DECADE and you couldn’t be bothered bringing it back even once. You claimed it was too hard. Then suddenly you’re bringing back WITH ACTIVITY EXCLUSIVE LOOT. Clearly it wasn’t too hard. You just couldn’t be bothered. It’s a joke. You’re a joke. And no. This is not just the upper managements fault. This is the devs fault too. Destiny came out over a decade ago and since it came out bungie has been defended with “oh it’s the management” yet throughout changes of management, a perpetually rotating door, the game has stayed with the same issues from day 1. The devs have been caught lying repeatedly. The devs have outright ignored or acted against the players best interest constantly. Yes there are definitely some devs at bungie who love destiny and have been trying their hardest, but the majority of them are JUST as much at fault as management.
