Since the big Boss said it’s the end of Destiny 2 I don’t think no matter how much we players cry would do anything different.

1 ReplyIf Star Wars and Eververse purchases didn't save this game... You think this petition will? Seriously, do you bro. It's not going to change Sony's mind at this point. I'm not hating at all. Just not going to beat a dead horse either. I want it to succeed. But their greed consumed them.

1 ReplyNah, let the game rest in peace.

3 RepliesEdited by TheThunderDumpling: 6/1/2026 2:39:06 AMThis won't matter. The petition doesn't take into consideration the actual reality of the games industry at the moment, nor the reality of where Destiny is at as a game. Destiny is an XboxOne/PS4 game that reached the limits of it's capabilities years ago. It cannot be scaled beyond those limitations without a full overhaul that aligns with Sony's next gen plans, and those next gen plans have been pushed past 2030 at the earliest. The reality of the games industry is that both Sony and Microsoft have not been able to source enough components to even get Dev kits out to hit the timeframe they wanted to release the next gen, let alone source enough to have a serious install base by 2030. These are the things discussed during these Shareholder calls that people like Tassi don't report on, and both companies have been calling this out since 2024. This is due to the fallout from supply chain shortages during COVID, and compounded by both the Crypto and AI booms. Indie devs are already freaking out because they only get an idea of what the next gen is capable of after the AAA studios leak the Dev kit info to them, and they might get that by the end of the year if they are lucky. Sony already knows the popularity of Destiny, but to keep an entire team of almost 400+ people developing for something they don't know can scale with their next gen makes no financial sense.

3 RepliesNeat! 300k people wasted their time! 😂
-
5 RepliesStreamers are just hyping this up cos they got nothing else to cover anymore, no matter how many signatures they get sony ain't digging up that dead horse, get over it and move on, getting cringy now seeing streamers crying over a game on you tube, they should maybe look at a career in acting if they can't play destiny anymore

#gofundmeDestiny3. Someone gotta start a page. Guardians prove we can give the push start ourselves. See that Sony? Hope they choke that down.

3 RepliesIf 300k were playing right now, consistently, then maybe a D3 would have happened. But it will not. Maracrap is on life support so that's the focus....
-
1 ReplyMarathon doesn't even have 4% of that amount of players (12k)

1 ReplyEdited by BOOMBOXCOLLOSUSS: 5/30/2026 6:24:53 PMIf it was 300,000 players in game, that would mean significantly more. A couple of mouse clicks isn't going to move the needle without putting our "money" where our mouth is in the form of real action. If we reinvigorate the player base and create a culture of sherpas for new and left behind players, this franchise could really see a resurgence. There's no other game like this and I want to see as many people get to play it's best parts as possible. We have an opportunity to set the pace and take our time now, so why not make good on some of the stuff others have always wanted to accomplish and do. Rushing through the game and collecting all the carrots is NOT what this community is about and we need to remember that the community is what made this good game GREAT.

7 RepliesI now believe this might be some sort of marketing tactic, lol. Get everyone sad and see how many players gather, and half a year from now, they'll tease us with a trailer, and it'll say "D3"
-
You will need at least 1.5 to 2mill signatures for them to bother to take it seriously Even if it did release, they would ruin it like they ruined D2 for the last few years Time for people to move on or look at the game where you play it for an hour max and then go do something else
-
Why? So they can have me spend a lot of time grinding stuff and then purposely tank the game again? Nope
-
3 RepliesJust make sure to play the game on June 9th - that’ll be the best thing you can do.
-
11 RepliesUnless D2 becomes a viable product again its the end of the franchise. You don't continue a failed product

8 RepliesI'll pass thx.

Edited by Daffy, The Disappointed: 5/30/2026 1:16:26 AMAs long as it's in Sony's hands, you better hope for nothing but expect worse.
