The title says it all. It's such a shame the execs pulled the plug on development before seeing if this massive update would yield much better numbers.

Also it is just a sandbox change and Vendor update, with the addition of letting us use any artifact we want, Sparrow racing league, Pantheon and Bright engram focusing. So all in all it is a standard update with some extra ok additions.

There are far too many inherent, baked in problems in D2 that just can't be unravelled in the current engine. I understand why it had to end on several levels and fronts. Our only option is to see this as an opportunity and reinvigorate the player base with teaching and sherpa runs for those who got left behind or quit due to the relentless pacing over the years. If we build a strong community/fanbase, tTHAT is the kind of community worth building a sequel for. D2 has a TON of life left if the sherpas and vets turn their attention to giving back those same experiences they enjoy to others these next few months.

2 RepliesThere isn’t any new content though, if Bungie just had to work on QOL, but not have to make any new campaign, PvP content, strikes, dungeons, raids, activities. They can fix all the other things. Adding new versions of loot to the same dungeons and raids done 100 times is just lame. This game has provided so many great times for me, but nothing was going to save this game from shutting down. It is sad but they went the wrong direction right around Lightfall and it is just sad
