It would be pretty cool if they remade the Red War - Forsaken Campaigns and released them as a separate game. Real story missions only no silly grindy quests.

6 RepliesThey are not allowed to do that as they were sued for stealing that story. Same with the other 3 dlc's.

5 RepliesRed war and forsaken are gone. Due to the lawsuit they will never come back

They're not making new content anymore and we think they're going to spend time and money remaking old ones?

40 RepliesHear me out: First and foremost, update the Tiger engine. No more bloat. No more vaulted content. Stop messing around and get with the times. Use the latest and greatest to rewrite the Tiger engine from scratch. Then use this updated engine to remaster and combine Destiny 1 and 2 into a single game ("Destiny: Chronicles of the Last City") focusing on our Guardians' stories and the fate of the solar system, going forward. It would include all expansions and main campaigns from both games as well as all Seasonal narrative content, covering the entire Light and Darkness Saga from the moment our Guardian is risen by Ghost to the end of the Final Shape. The Fate Saga would also continue in this game, reworking/retconning the narrative since the Final Shape (including Episodic narrative content), if necessary, to tell the story that was meant to be told. It would have a redesigned Director that updates dynamically, depending on your campaign progress, as well as a Portal that ONLY acts as a "quick-menu" or "shortcut" to Ritual activities and to assist with matchmaking. The game would also feature a complete overhaul of the inventory system, including collections and vault, as well as a complete overhaul of all gear. Weapons and armor will both have rarities ranging from common to exotic. Rare gear and above will be tiered between 1 and 5, but tier only affects base stats of the weapon, not enhanced traits. All Legendary and Exotic gear are craftable, but cannot have enhanced traits. Adept gear is red-bordered and can have enhanced traits. Extracting a pattern from a certain tier unlocks that tier for those traits when crafting. Exotic weapons and armor can have catalysts, often more than one, that affect its stats or give an additional trait. It should be added that these modifications would extend to the Tiger engine, as a whole. More importantly, Destiny: Chronicles would also feature a Technology system (essentially a themed aspect), Faction sponsorship, a new Rogue class (with a fourth Character slot), and a 3rd Darkness subclass (along with new supers for Stasis and Strand). Along with that game, the updated engine would also be used to develop a Destiny 3, or "Destiny: Beyond the Stars" that focuses on exploring beyond the solar system, perhaps not even as a lightbearer, but as one of the many alien races (Human, Exo/Strider, Awoken, Eliksni, Barant, Psion, Hive?, Vex?, etc.). Maybe something happens in the remaster of D1/2 where the Traveller actually leaves the Solar system and in Destiny 3, our character is in pursuit of the Traveller. Destiny 3 could also feature destinations such as Torobatl, New Riis, and Fundament, as well as other locations from the lore. Could those worlds also have "Nine-like" entities associated with them? Are there Ahamkara on distant worlds? Are there other alien races we might encounter? Other worlds converted by the Vex? What are the wider effects on reality of the Traveller being manipulated by the Witness? Are there more echoes out there? Both games would exist concurrently, allowing narrative elements to feel like they impact the entire universe, rather than our small section of it. The updated Tiger engine is crucial, though. Bungie/Sony needs to take the time to make sure their foundation is solid before going forward with anything else at this point. Take a year or two to rewrite the engine, then begin porting over content from D1 and D2 into the revamped system. Maybe that takes another couple years. Announce the remaster and begin development on D3. If done right, the remaster could release 5 or 6 years from now, and the sequel could release the following year, or maybe two, to complete the Fate Saga. But, once D3 is released, both games remain in active development within a shared Destiny universe. Anyway. I know that's a long read but I would love to hear your thoughts.

It would make no money

Not going to happen.

I think Everything from Red War to Forsaken are gone. So they should have made a D1 Remastered instead. Launching it on all Platforms and this time include launching it on PC. I think that would have been a good choice. But i guess we will never know.
