2 RepliesSigning this petition is pointless. The creation of D3 is too expensive for Sony to sign off on it. Around $500 million at the bare minimum without marketing costs. I've had a lot of discussions with people on this very same forum over the years about people complaining about expansions costing to much or Eververse cosmetics costing to much. How do hell do you expect Sony to agree to spend that much money on a game that most likely isn't going to make a profit. Also I feel like this petition is definitely making some people at Bungie and Sony mad. Where was all this support for Destiny before the news came out? In the past few years I've seen nothing but complaints from Destiny players. From content creators to casual players on this forum. It was negativity after negativity day after day etc.

I have done so but don’t think it’ll do anything, I done it just to show my interest in destiny

https://c.org/JjFCCBYxgH
Say 284,000 rounding up. D3 say costs 40 per copy, for arguments sake. Thats not even 11.5 million in revenue. So for a game that would cost again for arguments sake 250 million to develop over 5 years, then factor in the costs of supporting a live service game, and how many of the people who signed the petition will actually buy it....youre wasting your time. Again people not understanding how anything works being annoying.

1 ReplyPete Parsons gutted this game and this studio. At this point, Sony has taken a 3.6 Billion dollar loss. They’re not coming back. The edge of fate story line should have been Destiny 3 with the introduction of a new stat system. Corporate greed had other things to say.

1 ReplyWe'd need to hit the millions for Herman Hulst, the man who decided all this. And this the guy who thought CONCORD was a good idea. CONCORD! This sadly isn't doing anything but making you all feel good. Me? I'm gonna keep playing D2.
-
3 RepliesI hope Horizon Zero Yawns next live service game tanks and GG then are made to develop / work on Destiny 3 and Killzone 5... supported by other Sony studios... GG are a top talent dev - sadly stuck making HZD games atm
-
To cancel it all for good and never see bungo again? Signed! Lol

Unfortunately, neither the petition nor the planned login surge on the 9th has any chance of reversing the recent decision or greenlighting Destiny 3, as well-intentioned as they may be. (Forbes, may 28)

No! Bungie is now in the found-out stage. According to Jason Schreier, D3 will cost around 500 million to make, which means D3 would have to sell more than 7 million copies to get even close to breaking even. So that petition would need at least 4 million signatures for Sony to even consider to look at.

No, not in a million years. And I think it’s pathetic how everyone here has Stockholm syndrome and can’t cope with the fact that it’s finally over.

Nope.

Edited by THE GRIND IS REAL: 5/28/2026 9:19:23 AMIf they make a petition not to make a d3 for atleast 30yrs il sign it ,forget d3 youll gotta wait till all the boring neckbeards/ -blam!- streamers/devs that listen to the -blam!- streamers aka glazers and bdf fans to kick the bucket until a decent d3 could ever be made
