Linking issues
Greetings, i was trying to link my accounts for the cross save and hope that i could play my destiny 2 characters on my xbox and its telling me i cant link my steam account to my xbox account. I had Destiny 1 on my xbox one then i bought destiny 2 through blizzard when they were tied together and i cant seem to link the accounts saying theres already a game tied to it. What am i missing?

1 ReplyHey there. If your Steam account has its own Bungie Account already, then that is the problem. As of March 2025 it is no longer possible to unlink platform accounts from a Bungie Account. Even though XBox and Steam may not be linked to another game account, if both have a Bungie Account already then they cannot be linked together - as this would require one to become disconnected from its Bungie Account, which can no longer happen. Log out of Bungie.net and log back with your Steam account name and password. If it brings you to an existing Bungie Account, then what I said above is true. If it takes you to a page asking you to make a new Bungie Account or link an existing one, try linking it to XBox there.
