The Light is no longer a shield; it is a target. In an alternate reality, the Guardian—once the Savior of humanity—succumbed to the logic of the Deep. After usurping the Witness and slaying the Exo Stranger, this entity, now known as Asura, seized the Worldline technology. Asura is no longer just a champion; they are a multiversal virus, pruning timelines to satisfy the Winnowor’s final shape.
The Prologue: A Quiet Morning in Trostland
The game opens not with a bang, but with the clinking of a tea kettle. Devrim Kay sits in his belfry in the EDZ. It’s been peaceful for months—too peaceful.
The Incident: As Devrim adjusts his scope, the air ripples with "stasis-frost." A shadowy figure appears behind him. It is another Devrim, eyes glowing with a sickly resonance, wielding a rifle made of bone and obsidian.
The End: "No tea today, old friend," the Doppelgänger whispers. A single shot echoes. The EDZ map on Devrim’s desk begins to turn into flickering data-ghosts. The invasion has begun.
Act I: The Fall of the Last City
You are patrolling the frontier when the comms go silent. When the feed restores, you hear Zavala’s voice, broken: "All Guardians... return to the Tower. It isn't the Witness. It's... it's one of us."
The Siege: You arrive to find the Tower in flames. Not from Hive magic or Cabal pods, but from Revenants—twisted, dark reflections of Guardians from fallen timelines.
The Confrontation: Asura descends, wreathed in a terrifying -blam!- of Solar Singularity and Stasis. They don't want to rule; they want to erase.
The Sacrifice: As Asura prepares a final, reality-tearing blow, Saint-14 steps forward. He plants his Ward of Dawn, but it’s different—fueled by his very life force. The bubble expands, turning into a massive, blinding white sun.
The Escape: "Go, little bird!" Saint bellows as his light flickers out. Osiris grabs you, using a modified Vex chronometer to tear a hole into the Corridors of Time.
Act II: The Corridor of Shadows
The transition is violent. Asura pursues you into the gateway, their shadow stretching across the geometry of time itself.
The Final Stand: To lock the door behind you and ensure Asura cannot track your specific destination, Osiris must stay behind to collapse the bridge.
The Loss: "Find the thread, Guardian," Osiris says, his reflections shattering one by one as Asura’s blade finds him. You are kicked through a rift just as the Corridors implode.
Act III: A World Without Grace
You wake up in the dirt of a Trostland you don't recognize. The Traveler is gone—not moved, but missing from history.
The Severance: You reach for your Ghost. It is cold. The Spark is gone. You have no double jump, no grenades, and no resurrection. You are just a person with a gun.
New Allies: You are found by a group of scavengers led by a version of Eramis who never fell to darkness, and a Cabal Commander who serves a living Emperor Calus. In this timeline, the "Guardians" never existed.
The Mission: You must reclaim your power by finding "Primal Sources"—ancient fonts of Light and Dark hidden in the world's crust—while convincing this timeline's skeptical leaders that a god-slayer from another world is their only hope against the coming Shadow.
Core Gameplay Loop: Rebuilding the Legend
Re-Attunement: Unlike previous games, you unlock abilities by "synchronizing" with the environment, blending Light and Dark from the start.
Timeline Stability: You must defend "Anchor Points" in this new world to prevent Asura’s Revenants from "glitching" into this reality.
The Arsenal: Since you have no Ghost to transmat gear, you must scavenge and forge "Relic Weapons" that can harm beings existing across multiple timelines.
The Ultimate Goal: Forge a new path that isn't dictated by the Traveler or the Winnowor, and return to your home timeline to face Asura on the throne of the Final Shape.

2 RepliesMine, short and sweet... Finally go back to before the collapse to prevent it... Like what they did with the ARG event where people found that Valkyrie weapon up in Pennsylvania (? Don't remember where it was found)... But it will always be and is... Those that send you, the nine, just set up things for you to do, and you'll do it, because loot... Anyways, you'll go back, kill a person (now that you can)... Said person dies, but before you can pull that trigger again, you see a form, red shimmering, angelic... Everything seems to slow down, it touches your weapon, it disappears... It tells you, "you had a choice, and you chose this violence"... "Now, enjoy your hard work, and your earned reward'... It deleted all your armor, weapons, collections, vault and reduces vault space to 100... It sends you back to the beginning of the game and you wake up again, no powers... But there is a choice, and it was turning around, not killing the person... Eh, I want them to keep trying to get people into understanding quantum entanglement, superposition, and an ASI capable of thought at the speed faster than light, and it's implications.
