Cheating certainly exists but it is very hard to really assess the actual extent by playing. I notice suspicious things like players not taking damage, scoring what appear to be one hit kills with weapons that can't possibly one tap, seemingly perfect aim or shooting though walls etc. in almost every other game but 99% or more of that is probably just symptoms of lag and latency in bungo's lousy netcode peer to peer setup. The clearly blatant cheating like the player that insta snipes the entire team in six different directions at the same instant, grenade kills the entire team the moment the match starts or has heavy or super the whole match right from the beginning etc. is pretty rare though you will see them from time to time. Most are probably more subtle which always leaves the question is the other player just that good or do they have aim bot, wall hacks, one hit kill hacks etc. or is it just lag. I have literally died in PVP to another players super that they haven't activated yet only to see them pop the super on screen from my death cam after they supposedly already killed me with it a second before. When there's that much lag in the system it gets real difficult to really tell if its hacks or lag.

I was doing pretty well for a couple of days until yesterday when I was in a team that got thoroughly a$$ fu***** by a squad of hunters who all seemed to be rocking crimil’s dagger and a slug shotgun. It was ridiculous. One of them had a KD of 31. They were probably all 12 years old as well just to rub it in. I doubt they were cheating. When a team works together like they were you almost never end up in a 1:1 gunfight. I generally am afraid when I see opponents rocking a 120 HC. It usually means they are really, really good.

Cheating in PvP since circa two thousand and fourteen AD

Yeah today seen about 10 cheaters when I played through pvp today one guy sat In place meleed me from long away then he teleported away like his body stayed still and didn’t move then found another dude with a 5.33kd while stacking two man idk bungie battle eye sucks even reporting does 25% of the time gets people banned but not really

It started years ago, do you think that now with destiny on life support is when they are going to do anything? All they care now is where they are going to get their next job, and rightly so

I reckon I'm getting lag switched and "T version 2.0" aimbotted and rapid fired to shreds from the same players and clans in the lobby. And keep getting "network errored" out of the blue when I'm winning duels....hmmmm. 4 out of 5 games so far! EDIT : The only game that didn't crash me out (error coded) ended in a loss with the top player on 35 kills and 35 KD.
