June update.
Is anyone actually excited over this catching up update ?
Refreshed Raid and Dungeon loot, something that should have came with the dlc, same with the Exotic armor update.
New loot pool for both Gambit and Iron banner, i mean it should be expected, so i can't give them props for that.
Heavy metal update. New map and Vehicles. A new map should definitely have been made after the first time around. Hated it the first and second time so i am scared and not super interested.
Don't treat this anymore than a heavily delayed update. That is what it is. I know that we have been starved for any real changes, but don't think that this means that Bungie is given Destiny 2 their attention again.

That's what it seems to me, and it is pretty difficult to deny it's anything else

The gambit refresh isnt what you think. The new activity is a gambit style thing on lawless frontiers & they needed loot so are using the gambit weapons, a few of them anyway. Already confirmed no gambit changes as in it's staying on the director & isn't being brought to portal, but tiered loot only drops from portal so makes sense knowing how bungie work that they're using old gambit guns for the new activity - which I'm sure will go down a treat - with no level increase & my hatred of everything portal i simply won't * play it, loot hasn't been an incentive to play for a long time & gambit guns won't change that. New banner loot pool? Nah. New armour set, & finite impactor RETURNS, no new guns. I'm with you, heavy metal sucks, the vehicles handle like trash, hate it. Pantheon, I don't raid anymore, not interested. -
